My name is Lori Purdy Faitel; I am a survivor from a car wreck/TBI/7 day coma back in 1986, and I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant/ COTA. I have worked in Metro Detroit Since 1992. I went to college for OT with one thing in mind and that was to work with the brain injured. In the last 2 years I have been blessed to do so. Our Father God has given me guidance throughout my life and I find when I listen; and when I follow his guidance I realize abundance. I see abundance as happiness in life, and I am happy.I pray for all who are troubled, so that you may also find happiness.
Tonight I want to dedicate my show to a someone very close to me who is recuperating from Cancer Surgery. Robin Navarolli, I love you and look forward to many years of happiness with you.
I will share broadcasts from motivational, inspirational and Christian speakers. PLEASE do not let the religious overtones turn you off. I know that I had the strength to overcome the brain injury because of listening to things like this. The best I can do for others is to share what worked for me, you don't have to believe what I know is true, just listen and perhaps gain a new perspective on your life and future happiness.
We are all different people with different circumstances, if one iota of something that helped another was able help someone within our brain injured community, BRING IT ON. Listen live tonight or at anytime in the archives (recorded shows)

A retired Johns Hopkins trained psychiatrist and expert on world peace, he observes: "The most important puzzle we must solve: Why does everyone want happiness, unconditional love, abundance, and peace; yet, our world is characterized by fear, hate, scarcity, and war? I am a licensed Psychologist with over nineteen years of clinical training and experience. I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2003, where I specialized in psychotherapy with adults and teenagers. I have worked with individuals, couples, groups, and families coping with relationship difficulties, sexual abuse, grief, childhood trauma, sexual issues.
Throughout my years of training, I treated a variety of diagnoses from personality disorders, depression, anxiety disorders, addiction, and thought disorders. Most importantly I have worked with the human being. I have worked with eating disorders, low self-esteem, body image issues, self-hatred, guilt, grief, trauma, life threatening diseases such as cancer and AIDS, not fitting in, bullying, abandonment, loneliness, sex issues, isolation, not feeling good enough, lack of motivation, fear, sadness, death and dying, and hopelessness. I have also worked with people in their most successful moments, glorious highs and dreams achieved. It is always important to see the good! Therapy is not just about the negative. It is about the WHOLE experience of life, the good and the bad. One not being more important than the other. Therapy is an enriching process as much as it is a healing process. We can be as enriched by talking about our roads to success as we can be enriched by discussing our perceived mistakes. What I have learned from each person that has crossed my path is that emotions are the universal language.

I am sorry but had to change time the meeting I had tonight ran longer then expected...
I look forward to talking to you tomorrow...
I learned that Angels have surrounded me since I ws born, actually they have been with me forever just as they are with you. This realization came during a meditation, one that I was being guided through. I wasnt sure what to expect during this meditation but the peace this truth has given me is beyond words.
This is what I will share today...

Long-time Ananda resident, Music Composer and Actor, David Eby joins Ilene to discuss Film Maker Ted Nicolau's investigation into how a community driven by the motivation of love for one and all--where "people are more important than things" can indeed resonate for the masses. The result of their efforts was: "Finding Happines: A Film". Ted has filmed Ananda, the California community formed nearly 50 years ago by Swami Kriyananda (who appeared on Full Power Living 3 years ago, and has since passed away). Swami was a devotee of Paramhansa Yogananda (Autobiography of a Yogi), and assumed the lead role in developing the master's dream of "world brotherhood communities, based on the principle that simple living and high thinking lead to greatest happiness and inner fulfillment." This is a wonderful investigation to do early in our year, particularly as we are now aware of the tremendous Transformation occurring in every part of life. Take a look with me at what life “could be like”, and may be like in the not-too-distant future.
The pursuit of happines or hope. In today's perilous and un certain times, people are searching for hope. Uncertain job markets, uncertain financial markets, rising divorce rates and overall a declining rate of optimism in the direction of the country. We are looking at the paths of disappointment and the distractions that are on the road when searching for hope.
