The Music of Michael V Doane-The Adventures of Wendy Joseph
Michael V. Doanes musical journey has crossed many genres. From boy-band success to regional theatre acclaim and performances on Broadway, international tours, as well as television and film. He has written songs for American Idol, the movie 'From the 50 Yard Line', for TV shows ‘Red Carpet Run’, ‘Talking About’and for many artists' ranging from legendary girl-group Expose to Broadway star, BJ Crosby.
'LIttle Kid' 'is his first solo recording. A percussive, soulful mix of rock, gospel, country and pop, “Little Kid” has thick layers of instrumentation fronted by Doane’s tough and tender vocals. The songs range from the fiery funk of the first single and video, ‘We Did It Right’, to the bluegrass country jam of ‘James Alvin (His Song)’ to the confessional-like quality of the titel track, 'Little Kid.'
Wendy Joseph vies with her characters for a life of romance and adventure. A deckhand on merchant ships she has outrun pirates off Somalia, steered ships through typhoons and calms from the Bering Sea to Shanghai and helped rescue seals on the Pacific coast. Her passion is for works of the imagination, for telling a really good story, and for connecting with the minds and souls of readers. 'Witches Hand' is Ms Joseph's most recent release. Her plays Gargoyles, The Hamlet Interview, Oil in the Sound and Booking Hold were produced to acclaim in Seattle, and she appeared in the movie Singles. Ashore she holds court with her cats Jean Lafitte and Bijou in the wilds of Washington State. 9PM ET, 8PM CT, 6PM PT via the chatroom or @ 213-769-0952
