Guest Alan Collinge of Student Loan Justice, joins Jim Paris Live. Alan is the author of 'The Student Loan Scam' and an activist for student loan reform. In this episode he discusses the balooning amount of student loan debt, now currently more than $1 trillion dollars in the United States. He also comments on rights that should be afforded to student loan borrowers. Student loans are not dischargable in bankruptcy, they are also not subject to statutes of limitations, or the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
Student Athletes In Touch CEO Michael Bobino
We are a mentoring program that was founded in 1995, Emeryville CA. Our Mision is to prepare both male and female student athletes for the responsibilities and challenges associated with the transition from high school to college.
Student Athletes In Touch was created based on the number of student athletes who no longer play sports due to being ineligible academically and the lack of support from school administration. As our society advances in high technology, so has sports. Sports has now become 80% mental and 20% physical. Student athletes today must compete in the classroom in order to achieve the grades needed for a scholarship and competing athletically at the collegiate level.
