    US and Israel

    in Politics

Good morning, today on The Meter we discuss this week's election in Israel. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu won a decisive victory despite the polls that said to close to call. Netanyahu has been accused of racism in the final days of the campaign by some news outlets while President Obama has been accused of helping the opposition. Netanyahu and Obama do not agree on the pending deal with Iran which is causing the friction between the two leaders. How will all of this effect relations between two countries as well as the always tense region? Also, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is under intense pressure to release all emails from her private server. Will this have an impact on Clinton's presidential aspirations? Who would the democrats turn to if Secretary Clinton decides not to run? Please join the discussion at 9:00 AM. The call in number is (347) 308-8933. Your input is essential.

    American Security

    in Politics

Good morning, today on The Meter we will discuss the current state of American security. Former Secretary of State and presumptive Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is under fire for using her personal email server to conduct offical US business. In today's age of computer hacking and identity theft, did Secretary Clinton carelessly put America at risk? This week 47 Republican US senators sent a letter to Iran warning that country that any nuclear deal concluded by President Obama without congressional approval will be temporary only. This has caused a fire storm of controversy enraging many in Democratic Party ranks. Does a deal with Iran put American security at risk or are we more at risk if republicans sour the deal? In Ferguson, MO the protests over the Michael Brown shooting by white police officer Darren Wilson are not going away. This week 2 Ferguson police officers were wounded in a shooting outside their own police station and the suspect remains at large. Are we less safe as citizens if police are attacked during continual protests or is racism institutional among America's police forces? In another security breach, Secret Service agents presumingly driving intoxicated breached the perimeter of the White House shutting down an active bomb investigation. Is the President and his family's security at risk because of disrespect by the Secret Service? Please join this debate at 9:00 A.M. The call in number 347-308-8933. Your input is essential.

    Supreme Sense with 1SupremeGoddess = Family & Consequences, Media Correctness  & Mistakes  ..... Monday, 3/9/2015, at 7:30pm Eastern ....

Does the breakdown of the family matter?

In my less than humble opinion, yes, it matters a LOT, especially in light of kids bullying & being bullied, kids voting to ban American flags, kids running off to join ISIS & kids KILLING each other just because they are angry.

My Co-Host's wrote a new article for the Examiner this week  that leads us to another topic of media correctness & a new place to actually FIND IT.  (http://www.examiner.com/article/one-america-news-network-delivers-media-correctness)? so let's discuss this & more this evening, so join me & my co-hosts, @NukNeutron & @1Anobody  as we chat about these issues.

YOUR QUESTIONS & COMMENTS are ALWAYS WELCOMED & encouraged!  CALL into  914-338-1458, or if you are a little too shy to call, please feel free to participate in the discussions by 3/9/2005the active chat room & let us know what YOU think.

We WILL get through these stormy seas TOGETHER!

    in Politics

Good evening. Tomorrow The Meter returns to the airwaves. We will discuss this years's CPAC: Who was the star for the GOP? Also, as ISIS continues it's brutalization  what should be the role of the United States? Is President Obama's hesitation of deep American involovemnt the right move? Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to speak before a joint session of Congress next month, but many democrats have pledged boycott and President Obama discouraged the speech. What is behind the democrat disapproval? Do Republcians think the President hates America? Rudy Giuliani does. Please join the discussion at 9:00 A.M. The call in number is (347) 308-8933. Cancerous Stories, Part 3: Cure and Prevention

    in Psychology

In today's story we will continue with the metaphor of cancerous ideas spreading throughout a society and its body politic. The murder of innocents in France, Denmark and other world capitols supposedly bastions of democracy frighten me. I feel increasingly hopeless with the rise of anti-semitism and religious hated in general, the increasing deradation of women, and the general failure of political leaders and citizens to theorize as to the cause and cure of these cancers as well as suggesting ways of meeting them except by surgery provided by military activity. I despair as authoritarian regimes fail and are replaced by totalitarian demogagues demanding total obedience to their hate filled ideologies. I cringe as science, free inquiry, abstract thought, respect for facts and individual creativity are replaced by concrete thought and destructive fantasies accepted whole and literally. I watch in terror as education is demeaned and scapegoats are sought on who can be blamed for the problems created by poverty, hopelessness, social injustice, rank materialism, and our general fear of facing monumental environmental degradation. I cannot sleep nights as I have come to believe that political democracy (my beloved America in particular) the surest immunity against the spread of cancerous fantasies is in retreat and decline. I do this podcast to give myself hope and to live up to the ideals that I still believe in.
