I lost both parents to cancer at 22 and 27. Let's talk about stuff that's hard, ways you can move forward in your life and how to get back to a happier place. My intention is to connect those of us who have lost our mothers, our fathers or both parents, at any age, through art, writing, and focusing on the positive.
In this episode, I'll be talking about what it means to become present and parent yourself.

Guilt is a characteristic that is as natural to the human experience as breath. Join Nancy Gentle Boudrie as we look at this debilitating emotional mindset, and the power we have to choose a more positive and healthier emotional mindset of understanding, acceptance and forgiveness.
“Guilt upon the conscience, like rust upon iron, both defiles and consumes it, gnawing and creeping into it, as that does which at last eats out the very heart and substance of the metal.” – Robert South
B.L.I.F. Network presents Life Touch with our host Evangelist Owen Bruce. Our Life Touch broadcasts are designed to be a devotional time where those who tune in can receive a touch from God through prayer and the Word of God. Guilt is both an emotion we may experience due to sin and situations, as well as the condition God declares we are in because we have broken His commandments. This episode we will pray the Scriptures according to Romans 3:23-26, though all have sinned God has provided all that we need to live guilt free through Jesus Christ. God is so good that He does not want anyone to be living with guilt, so you can be guilt free in Jesus Name!
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" (Romans 3:23-24 ESV)

It's common nowadays to see people jump in and out of marriage just as quickly as they change their clothes. Divorce doesn't seem to carry any kind of stigma for them at all.
But for a Christian who gets a divorce, there is often a significant amount of guilt and even shame. Why? Because of the perceptions and expecations, whether real or imagined, that pertain to the holiness of marriage as God designed it. Some may feel that if they failed at marriage, they are ultimately seen as a failure by God. But nothing could be further from the truth.
Tune in as we chat with Divorce Recovery Mentor, Gretchen Goldsmith, debunks the myths that surround Christians and divorce. Hear her story and find out how you too can shed the guilt and shame of divorce from your own life.
Shalom everyone. Tonight I will talk about Black children and the hardship of Black women raising them in racist white America. Often without the aid of their Fathers or even a cohesive Black villiage to turn too the way we once had. History shows us there has aways been a WAR on the indigenous North American Black woman and her children. In many cases without her or her children even knowing it. As usual my own personal experiences will be used as a source of reference to help other mothers or wanna be mothers know when it is ok to (demand) that your child go and find their own way in life. Some of us feel so fortunate to have children who were not killed or sent off to prison that some Black women find ways to keep their children dependant on them when they should be preparing them to be responsible, self sufficient tax payers. Sometimes though we have that very rebellious and dominant child whos personality is so atrocious that getting rid of them may reuire more than just asking them to leave. These ones often times require YOU to totally cut all ties with them and for whatever reason we just won't do it. In some cases the results is the lost of someones life and the ultimate ruin of others. From all sides, noone comes away a winner. If you have any good parenting stories, call in, lets talk let's share. Often times parents, especially single ones need to find ways to do the right thing and let their disagreeable dependants go without it sending them into depression or unjustified guilt. 9Mind Sacred Sisterhood Class is now in session. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2r_ibT7d44
September 11th, 2014 marks an anniversary of the day the world watched the United States of America tend to an act of terror on it's own soil. According to New York News & Politics, it's estimated that over 10,000 children lost their parents on September 11, 2001. Imagine learning your parents are dead due to a suicide bomber!
Imagine learning your parents consider you dead to them (upon learning you identify as gay or lesbian). Daniel Ashley Pierce's parents said just about as much in this (now viral) video.
A recent Rolling Stones article: The Forsaken: A Rising Number of Homeless Gay Teens Are Being Cast Out by Religious Families offers us a critical look at the terror some parents strike in the hearts of their kids when they learn of their sexual orientation.
In this episode, we'll talk about this terror with an expert who deals with youth who face homelessness due to a variety of factors, including coming out.
Meet Raquel (Rocki) Simões, Program Manager for Avenues for Homeless Youth in Minneapolis MN. She manages the GLBT Host Home Program. Rocki invites us to explore deeper aspects of youth homelessness briefly outlined in her blog-post on VillageQ.
Today on HELP! Relationships 102 we talk about one of the most untalked about, unrealized , and yet most life controlling issue of guilt and shame! Most people are completely unaware of the presence of and the the power that these factors play in every single person's life! The LORD desires to make you free, indeed!
Join us as we address this very unaddressed issue!
I will be considering the place that guilt has in our earthly life and what it may have meant in the time of Christ and what we learn of it today. Does it really have a place in our being as Children of God? Are there other ways that it comes out, such as accusations, perceived offenses, or the comparison monster that causes us to feel that we are less than others or better than?
I am grateful to be back on Blog Talk Radio because this is how my testimony grows, by sharing it with others. I have reached an age where my children no longer wish to hear me, they have developed their own view of life and perhaps they feel as I did at their age that I had my chance and messed up, now it is their turn. This format is a great blessing and it allows me to record my impressions of life for posterity.
