    The awards recognition platform seeks to recognize and appreciate its members for their works, publications, community involvement and contributions in the Literary, Visual, & Performing Arts.  ASWIFTT Award categories range from Education, Global Outreach,Transitional Figure & More.


    Winners will have the opportunity to call in to give a 2 minute acceptance speech. They will also receive their awards and prizes in the mail.


    ASWIFTT is for the author, artist, playwright, movie producer, director, journalist, etc. who has the talent to put pen or brush to paper to create a unique & valuable piece of work. ASWIFTT is always looking for new talents to enhance the Literary, Visual & Performing Arts.

His newest and third book is entitled, “Beethoven In Love; Opus 139.” He taught for many years in the UCLA Extension Writer’s Program and has lectured nationally. His articles and photographs have appeared in the Washington Post, Horizon, The Journal of the Writer’s Guild of America, and numerous trade publications.


    While an executive at ABC Television, Embassy TV and Academy Home Entertainment, Howard worked on numerous film, television, radio and commercial projects.     Kristi was born in Wellington, NZ and is a dual NZ/British screenwriter and script consultant who has been professionally writing genre screenplays since 2009 including: The award winning optioned horror They Hide In The Dark (www.theyhideinthedarkmovie.com); the optioned horror The Raft (http://www.libertinepictures.com/wp-content/uploads/Media-release_Big-Break-Wraps_24-09-14.pdf) and the latest horror and festival finalist The Walls.  Her first production was the first movie rolled out over Twitter, the pioneering transmedia horror, Hurst (aka@KarenBarley) (www.karenbarley.co.uk). She has been hired as a script consultant for L.A production company, Philantos and contracted as Script Reader & consultant for the NZ Writers Guild consulting on various genres.  She was mentored by Kudos productions through the prestigious UK’s Red Planet Prize with the gritty single drama, The Board, which is currently in development with director Paul Campion (The Devil’s Rock).  She was a Shriekfest Finalist in 2015 with her screenplay "The Walls".

    Michael J. Harney is an American actor of film, television and theater currently starring on the SAG Award winning Netflixoriginal series Orange is The New Black as Corrections Officer Sam Healy.


    Set in 1999, Bad Hurt chronicles a father’s (Harney) struggle with PTSD as a conflicted war veteran dealing with his son’s compromised return from the war and the challenges of having a mentally ill daughter.  He stars opposite Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy), who is also producing the film, and the film is directed by award winning writer/director Mark Kemble.

    Culture Bridge International Art Exhibit and Festival of the Arts:

    Marianna Buchwald is the founder and creative director of the International Art Group in Chicago. She works with a diverse group of artists, musicians and dancers from different countries. For 15 years, she has worked as International Tour guide in Chicago and in Germany, developing art and architecture, neighborhood tours and special cultural tours to benefit different types of age groups and visitors from around the world.


    The German American Cultural Center (DANK Haus) presents a vibrant International festival of art: Culture Bridge/Kulturbruecke,Feb.20. - March 19. 2016., a cultural bridge of musicians, painters, dancers, and sculptors from Germany, the United States and many countries around the globe.


    Curated by Marianna Buchwald, International Art Group and Derin Baratka,Lincoln Square Artists Guild, the exhibit at the Scharpenberg Gallery at  DANK Haus will feature a broad range of works with an intention to deepen cross-cultural ties.  There will be a series of events that will entertain and stimulate thinking about how many cultures can create a dialog about what matters in the world of art, art making with Linda Platt for children and adults, artist talks and panel discussions, moderated by Prof. Talmadge Wright, Prof. Almira Gilles, Pala Townsend, Kao Ra Zen and Tracy Kostenbader.
