YESHUA foretold the FIRST CENTURIES ROMAN INTRUSIONS and GREAT FALLING AWAY from FAITH!  None was foretold to REVIVE thereafter the WAY of RIGHTEOUSNESS, till MESSIAH HIMSELF comes to bring ALL that has been FORGOTTEN!  Since THAT GREAT FALLING AWAY, MANY claimed to have REVIVED the SAVING STANDARD, and have DECEIVED MANY.   FOR ONLY YESHUA is appointed to perform this precious task that unto Him every knee shall bow and every tongue confess allegiance!

Mat 24:2  And Yeshua said unto them, See ye not ALL THESE THINGS? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left HERE one stone upon another, that shall not be THROWN DOWN.  3 And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall THESE THINGS BE? ... and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Mat 24:14  This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; THEN shall the end OF JERUSALEM come.  15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso reads, let him understand:)  16  Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:  24:20  But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the SABBATH DAY: 21  For THEN shall be GREAT TRIBULATION, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be again. 22  And except those days would be shortened, no flesh would survive: but for the elect's sake those MURDEROUS days shall be shortened.  (See Luke 21:5-7)

Olivet Discourse, Pt. 2—Matt. 24:15–31; The Great Tribulation

    in Religion

When His disciples asked in amazement about the great stones of their temple being thrown to the ground, Jesus answered questions about the Temple's destruction and His coming at the "end." They saw "the end" as being when the Temple was destroyed. Jesus did not "correct" them in this conclusion; rather, He embraced it and built on it.

This discourse is commonly known as the "Olivet Discourse"; covering two full chapters, Matthew 24 & 25.

Rather than take the "popular" position that this discourse was about two separate "comings" of Jesus, Rod will present the view that Jesus only had in mind His coming to pour out God's wrath upon Jerusalem and all the Jews in order to fulfill prophecy and bring their covenant with Him to an irreversible end in AD 70.

Consistency and continuity of prophecy and fulfillment are keys to grasping Jesus' intent in this discourse.

Should Christians Prepare for the Great Tribulation? (Part 3)

    in Religion

    TEXT: Daniel 9:24-27; Ezekiel 36:22-23; 2 Thessalonians 2:7-10

As you know, we have been looking at the topic of whether or not Christians should prepare for the Great Tribulation. This is our last message on this issue. In the first message in this series, we found that the answer to this important question was 'no' based on three facts about the church. The first is that the church is distinct from Israel. The second is that victory for the church has already been determined. And, the third is that the church and Israel have different expectations about the second coming of Jesus Christ.
In the second message in this series, we looked at three passages in the book of Revelation which indicate that God's true church will be taken out of the world in the Rapture, before the Great Tribulation. Based on Jesus' contrasting letters to the faithful church at Philadelphia and the lukewarm church at Laodicea we saw the importance of making sure that we are true followers of Jesus Christ and the importance of being on guard against those worldly influences which will spawn an apostate church.
Today, we are going to look at three sets of Biblical evidences that tell us who and what the Great Tribulation is meant for and why.
    1. The Great Tribulation is for the judgment and salvation of Israel.

    2. The Great Tribulation is for the judgment of ungodly nations.

    3. The Great Tribulation is a time for the unrestraining of evil.

What we have seen today shows us that God is in control of all of the events of history. He has a plan for Israel, He has a plan for the heathen nations, and He has a plan for us -- the church. We can trust His plan. We don't know when the Rapture will take place, but we do know that the Rapture is God's way of gathering up His true church out of this world before the final judgments of earth begin.

Should Christians Prepare for the Great Tribulation? (Part 2)

    in Religion

    TEXT: Revelation 3:7-11; Revelation 3:19-21; Revelation 4:1-4

Last time, we tackled the question of, should Christians prepare for the Great Tribulation? We found that the answer was 'no' based on three facts about the church. The first is that the church is distinct from Israel. The second is that victory for the church has already been determined. And, the third is that the church and Israel have different expectations about the second coming of Jesus Christ.
Today, we are going to continue addressing this question from a different perspective. We are going to look at three passages of Scripture in the book of Revelation that shed light on this issue of whether or not the church will be in the Great Tribulation.
    1. The first passage we are going to look at is Jesus' letter to the church at Philadelphia.

    2. The second passage we want to look at is Jesus' letter to the church at Laodicea.

    3. The third passage that we will look at today contains the words of the Apostle John as he is called up into Heaven to receive the vision of things which are to come.

All of this Biblical evidence supports the view that the Rapture will, indeed, take place before the Great Tribulation. In his message to the church at Philadelphia, Christ promises that faithful believers will be spared the "hour of temptation" that will come upon the whole earth. In his message to the church at Laodicea, which had a form of dead Christianity and was headed toward apostasy, Christ urges them to repent while there is still time, or risk being left behind when the "overcomers" -- those who are truly saved -- are taken out of this world. And, in the Revelation of John, we see a type of the church as the apostle is caught up from the earthly realm and into the heavenly realm before he is allowed to see the events of the Great Tribulation.

Should Christians Prepare for the Great Tribulation? (Part 1)

    in Religion

    TEXT: Matthew 24:14-22

During World War II, the government of Great Britain commissioned the creation of bunkers deep underground to protect citizens during Nazi aerial bombing campaigns. The cavernous bunkers were stocked with bunk beds, blankets, and food. Some of them held up to 8,000 people at time. For weeks, Londoners wondered if they would have to go down into those bunkers for protection. Some people probably laughed off the idea and thought the war would never come to British shores. But, when the Nazi planes began flying over southern England, and thousands of people were herded underground, I’m sure everyone was glad the bunkers had been built. Even though the bombing campaign was devastating, the city was prepared, and many lives were saved.
The Bible gives us very vivid descriptions of a time known as The Tribulation. Jesus Christ spoke of it in His Olivet Discourse in the verses we just read. A critical question for us as Christians is should we be gearing up for the Tribulation. Should we make preparations for those dark days that are coming in the future, just as the British made preparations for the German bombers.
It is wonderful to think about the Rapture and Jesus coming back to remove us from this sin-cursed world and take us to Heaven to be with Him. But, it is quite a different matter to think about the Tribulation -- the wars, disasters, and divine wrath that will be poured out on Earth. Should Christians be preparing for the Tribulation?

Now, I and the majority of Christians are of the pre-tribulational view. We believe that the Rapture of the church will take place before the Tribulation. And, today, I want to show you from the Word of God why I believe the Bible teaches that the Rapture will take place before the Tribulation.

    Great Tribulation

    in Religion

Recently ABC Family's The Fosters, a show about a lesbian couple adopting children, featured two 13 year old boys kissing. What a travesty and pathetic shame! Why is Satan pushing the envelope in these last days. Dr. Brn Carson made a statement that people choose to be homosexuals and lesbians, but then that coward backtracked and apologized for offending the LGBT community. Alabama is still resisting the federal judge's mandate that they issue same sex marriage licenses, and the Obama administration has officially endorsed nationwide same sex marriage by filing a brief with the US Supreme Court.
