On Sept 25 TVFMontana gave you a look see of how government public meetings were held in Granite County Montana. This is Granite County Commission's version of conducting a "public hearing".
This episode is the follow up. This audio that you'll hear is indicative of how meetings are conducted when credentialed "guests" aren't present. By "credentialed" I mean State, Federal, some NGO or half ass government/lobbyist group...like MACo. You'll hear the unedited recorded audio of the first reading of a county resolution. Believe me, this is not an example of the proper way to adopt a resolution. Then again ....maybe this is the new Kabuki government way.
Listen and then you decide.

Granite County Road & Bridge Foremen Discussion Sept 17 2014 09/21 by The View from Montana | Politics Podcasts
Now compare that to what you will hear during this episode of TVFM. This is an example of a Granite County PUBLIC HEARING. One that was actually noticed twice in the local newspaper. Unfortunately not with the same application info presented at the hearing.
See if either are familiar to you or similar to the public meetings and hearings taking place in your neck of the woods. This particular "public hearing" was noticed in the paper twice as required, but with not the same info presented at the hearing. After attending the "hearing" you kind of wonder, "Does it really matter, noticed or not, when you have these kind of public servants making decisions, supposedly, for YOUR benefit?!!!"
Scary! Believe me, what you don't know and/or ignore WILL come back and bite you in the butt. NOTHING that happens in your neck of the woods stays there if your neck of the woods feeds at the Federal trough.
Plus if we have time Judge Dick M will give a critique of that Supreme court candidate debate held Sept 23 in Missoula at the UofM.

“This is gangsters, guns and drugs. I don't think it gets much scarier than this,'' said Assistant District Attorney Mary Ellen Karst in asking for the maximum prison term for Rumont TeKay, age 18, a high ranking member of a notorious street organization out of Chicago.
Like many of his peers, Rumont took to the street life at the impressionable age of 10 years old. After his initiation, he quickly climbed the ranks within the organization and became one of its largest distributors in the cocaine trade by age 18. Eight months after his eighteenth birthday, Rumont was convicted of the largest cocaine bust in the county’s history and received a minimum mandatory 35 year sentence, as a first time offender.
While his back was against the wall and hope was bleak, he found solace in the elements of another writer's storylines. His inspiration flared and Rumont TeKay put his mighty pen to paper and hasn’t let up since. Through it all, he has learned that hope never dies just as long as one breathes life into it. After six years of appeals and twelve years spent behind bars, Rumont has been released and is now on a mission to expose the atrocities dealt in the land he calls home.
