Welcome to this week’s edition of Scottscope Talk Radio! Tonight, we’ll be discussing the greatness that is Grand Theft Auto V! Is it better than any of the previous installments? Has the game simply gotten too huge for its own good? Does the option to play as multiple characters enhance the story, or needlessly complicate it? Can it be blamed for any of the violent incidents which have been connected to it? Are parents who let their children play it simply negligent or just plain ignorant? Are today’s kids sophisticated enough for such a game? Is the very idea of an “adult” video game a contradiction in terms?
We’ll also be celebrating the 30 anniversary of Eddie Murphy Delirious. Is it as funny as we remember it? Can it be considered the single greatest stand-up comedy performance of all time? Can Eddie Murphy: Raw be considered its equal? Are the endless comparisons between Eddie and his idol, Richard Pryor, truly valid? Can Kevin Hart be considered the heir apparent to the Murphy throne, or just a marginally talented pretender? Should Eddie ever set foot on the stand-up stage again? Would he tarnish his own legacy by doing so? Was Delirious as offensive as its reputation suggests?
