Mercedes AMG driver Lewis Hamilton just won the Italian Grand Prix at the home of Ferrari. The 2008 World Champion was in pole position but got off to a bad start due to car trouble. His teammate Nico Rosberg took the lead pushing Hamilton back, and into fourth position. Pressure started to take its toll on Rosberg and he made two mistakes, the second of which proved to be an opportunity for the faster Hamilton to move back into first position. Once Hamilton regained the lead, he kept it throughout the race. Hamilton's teammate Nico Rosberg came in second and Williams-Martini driver and former Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, crossed the finish line third. The disappointment of Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso's DNF did not prevent the fans from showing their love of the Ferrari F1 team. The Ferrari organization was out in full force along with the Ferrari family. The Mercedes Team is currently in the lead for the constructors’ title, and with six more races before the end of the season, it looks as if Mercedes will maintain their position.
The Italian fans were gracious, fun, and seem to emjoy the race. The after race entertainment was, the still popular Duran Duran.

for those of us that had delt with the mega monopoly game now an ancent slab given to me by Midna from the Twilight realm has spoken about a great demon coming to attack the town of ARKHAM Mass. will we the chosen ones be able to stop this and save the day or will we let the town and the World down. Only Time will tell and Time is not on our side
Lewis Hamilton had a remarkable day on the home turf of the Ferrari, Formula One team. The pressure of racing at one of the most popular circuits in F1 did not prevent him from making pole position. Hamilton was fast, smart, and steady on the track, during the qualifying session at Monza. The Mercedes AMG driver and 2008 World Champion beat his teammate Nico Rosberg by half a second. While some who seem to focus on Hamilton not making pole position since May, they seem to forget that Hamilton won the British Grand Prix in June from sixth position. Winning pole position is a great and preferable accomplishment and should not be discounted. However, it is far more compelling and exciting to fans and viewers, when a brilliant driver like Hamilton can win from sixth position, or, as he did in Hungary, go from pit lane to a 3rd place podium finish. Not many drivers can accomplish such a task up against a field of so many champions, as Lewis Hamilton did. So the fact that he has not been a pole sitter since May does not diminish his brilliance, on the track.
The top six cars during qualifying were powered by Mercedes engines with the Mercedes team of Hamilton and Rosberg, locking up the front row. Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa with Williams-Martini locked out the second, while Button and Magnussen with McLaren, will be on third.
Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso has never been one to give up, even when starting in seventh position, at a home race, with the big bosses in attendance. Although teammate Kimi Raikkonen did not qualify in the top ten, both drivers are hoping to give the fans something to cheer about on race-day.
Don’t forget to pick up your tickets for the U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, Texas at Circuit of the Americas on Oct 29-31.
