    in Books

On tonight's episode GPA will be reading a poem from his book, Revenge of the Orgasm.

As you are driving, your body involuntarily jumps. Sweat begins on your forehead and appears on your body, even though it is the middle of Winter. Inside of your left thigh, there is a tapping that is not harmful but noticeable. And you begin to wonder if sanity has departed or control of your motor skills is no longer your own. Then, the epiphany becomes clear. This is Revenge of the Orgasm.

WWIAAL Blog Talk Radio Show with DJ Gatsby & guest Poet/Author Kottyn Campbell

    in Entertainment

She is Queen and she is more than a triple threat, first she a Poet, Second an Author, Third a Performer and then she is a business woman and her voice alone will have you hypnotized.

She surpasses most poets because of her ability to become the character in her poetry. Kottyn when she’s performing cannot be compared to anyone, partially because those that she has been inspired by range from friends, family and acquaintances.

God, joy, happiness, sadness and heartache that she has experienced over time has caused her to write the way she does. Wanting to make a difference in the way people love and express that love in any relationship.

Kottyn “SoftSpokenPoet has written books such as “He’s Beautiful to me”,“Strong in my woman” “The Love Letter”, “Sweet Mangos”  and “10 Reasons Why Black Men Stop Dating Black Women”. Kottyn has participated in her first anthology “Nights Playground” Nocturnal Naughtiness which she came up with the title designed the cover and contributed her writing. Night’s Playground” is a GPA MEDIA INC Presentation.

Her soft subtle flirty way gives you the illusion that she’s speaking only to you. She enjoys speaking on relationships and how they can be improved; she does that through her poetic flow. Her desire to have love and to be loved has sparked her interest to write for those who can’t write or say what’s on their hearts.

    Actress Noree Victoria

    in Entertainment

Noree Victoria, Baltimore, Maryland native, has been active in the creative arts her entire life. Starting out writing imaginative short stories and plays, she completed her first bound children’s book at the age of 7. Loving the arts and academics, during her middle school years, she used creative and intellectual outlets to escape her sometimes-challenging upbringing in Baltimore, opting to spend summers in special programs on college campuses studying drama, creative writing, and painting with the help of government subsidized grants and academic scholarships. At the age of 16, once again longing for a life beyond the borders of her home city, she petitioned her school board on her own and successfully won their approval to bypass her senior year, and go directly on to college, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing and Biology, and subsequently a Master’s Degree in Information Technology. Noree completed her Master’s program with a 4.0 GPA. However, coming from an entertainment family with modest means-- kin to the late jazz musician Eubie Blake, and sister to Emmy nominated actress Penny Jerald-- the lure of acting proved way too overpowering for her to neglect. After completion of her academic studies, she stepped out on faith to pursue her creative passions in the performing arts full time, gaining recognition by winning the Best Actress award at AMTC’s Shine, a nation-wide talent competition drawing over 2000 contestants each year. After being discovered at AMTC, Noree was contacted by the New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts and offered a scholarship to study under the direction of some of the most esteemed instructors in the business, taking on Scene Study, Advanced Film Combat, Voice-over, Michael Chekhov technique and Shakespeare Presentation.

Coaches Powering Forward for Autism with Pat Skerry

    in Family

This year, a total of 238 teams (15 women’s), as many as 150 officials and lots of broadcasters showed up to support Autism Awareness Weekend in college basketball. Throughout the weekend, coaches, officials and broadcasters raised autism awareness by donning the blue Autism Speaks puzzle piece pin during college basketball games. In all, more than 3,000 coaches, staff, administrators, and officials were wearing pins and spreading the word.

Spearheaded by NCAA basketball coaches Pat Skerry and Tom Herrion, the program provides coaches, their teams, schools and fans with opportunities to raise awareness, fundraise and advocate for the needs of people affected by autism.

Pat Skerry has completely revitalized the Towson men's basketball program and brought the Tigers back into the national spotlight. Skerry, who took over a program that had endured 15 straight losing seasons, wasted little time in righting the ship.

Skerry, a 21-year coaching veteran, has succeeded in changing the culture of the Towson men's basketball program. During his first semester as head coach, his players posted the highest GPA for a Towson men's basketball team in over a decade.

A native of Medford, Mass., Skerry played collegiately at Tufts from 1989-92 where he was a two-time team captain and garnered All-New England honors. As a point guard, he recorded a school-record 650 assists during his career - a mark that still ranks as the 17th best in NCAA Division III history. His 198 assists in 1990-91 is a Tufts single-season record. He also is fifth on the school's career steals list with 95.

Pat and his wife, Kristen, have two sons, Ryan and Owen.
