Oh, thats right! It's JOE PESCI WEEK!!!
We love Pesci. From Vinny, to Goodfellas, to Casino and even into Home Alone 1 and 2! He's such an amazing actor.
So, with drinks in hand we will Expose two of his movies, starting with My Cousin Vinny! This is one of Crazy Bill's favorite comedies. It's an untimely classic from the 90s! Marisa Tomei won an Oscar for best supporting actress in her role as Mona Lisa Vito.
Then? Oh yeah! Goodfellas! Pesci, Liotta, DeNiro, Sorvino... what a GREAT mob movie that Scorsese gave us! While, it's not a lead Pesci role, it is centered around the three guys. But it's hands down one of our FAVORITE ganster/mob/mafia movies.
Of course, we will do some ups and dumps for things coming to theaters and/or DVD. We will touch on some TMZ.com headlines and tear into today's "Celebrities" and, we are still waiting for someone with the courage to try and take on Crazy Bill in Movie Madness Trivia...
C'mon, surely the 7 BILLION people in the world have at least ONE brave soul to call in for this!!!

NEW YORK — More than 30 years after Vincent Asaro is believed to have gotten away with helping hatch a $6 million airport heist dramatized in the hit Martin Scorsese movie “Goodfellas,” prosecutors say the reputed mobster slipped up and complained to the wrong person that he’d been cheated by another gangster named James “Jimmy the Gent” Burke.
“We never got our right money, what we were supposed to get,” the 78-year-old Asaro told a cooperator wearing a wire in 2011, according to the court papers. “Jimmy Burke kept everything.”

It’s the 2013 year-end edition of Scottscope Talk Radio! This week, we’ll be reviewing Martin Scorcese’s latest foray into the world of crime (White-Collar crime, that is), The Wolf of Wall Street! Does it deserve to be mentioned among Scorcese’s best? Can it be considered a not so distant cousin to Goodfellas? Is this Scorcese’s first true comedy since After Hours? Is it a celebration of corruption on Wall Street, or a condemnation of it? Does looking at the film through such a narrow scope do it justice? Is Scorcese’s partnership with Leonardo DiCaprio proving to be just as fruitful as the one between Scorcese and De Niro? Is the latter overly romanticized?
We’ll also be taking a look back on the year that was 2013. What were some of the best movies? What were some of the best rap albums? Did Drake finally prove his naysayers wrong? Are moviegoers finally getting tired of big summer blockbusters, particularly superhero films? Is New York’s irrelevance to mainstream Hip-Hop a good thing? Has the internet, coupled with portable media devices, completely destroyed the entertainment industry as it existed in decades prior? Is that a good thing for consumers? Does the breakdown of “the machine” guarantee better movies and music? What can we expect in 2014?
Are you sick of the disgraceful way our beloved US Veterans are being treated while the fat cats in DC never miss a paycheck or a meal for that matter? Join the club and join the conversation on this week's Adam Thompson Show: Get Your Shine Box! Edition.

On Wise Guy Talk Radio
"How my days working in mob joints led to making "The Real Casino" and now "The Real GoodFellas" Wise guy talk radio is excited to have as it's guest, filmmaker Joseph F. Alexandre to discuss his award winning documentary Back Home Years Ago: The Real Casino- about the real Chicago mobsters who served as the basis for Nicholas Pileggi's book Casino and Martin Scorsese's epic film adaptation. I’m proud to have Joe on my show to discuss his connection to some of the real Chicago 'outfit' wise guys who were the basis for the legendary film as well as the real mob boss from Milwaukee, Frank 'the mad bomber' Balistrieri who was a basis for the composite character Remo Gaggi in Casino. Joe will also discuss his connection to some of the real characters in GoodFellas and his upcoming documentary “I Always Wanted To Be A Gangster”: The Real 'GoodFellas'.
Nicknamed 'Joey Casino' by some of his paisan, gangster pals, Joe will fill us in on the contrasting reality of the mob life w/ the Hollywood version. What's real and what's not, and despite Scorsese's brilliant depiction of the gangster lifestyle there was more fiction than many people realize. (Not to mention Coppola's The Godfather which isn't even close to reality, not that it was ever intended to be.) This is a must tune in radio event for any mob genre fan and all film lovers out there. Don't miss this special inside view of La Cosa Nostra by someone who lived to tell the tale.
