Nikki Roxx joined The Greg DeMarco Show to discuss her time in TNA, Shimmer Women’s Athletes, and her new fitness venture BonRoxx Fitness.
On declining an invitation to appear on the all-Knockout PPV special:
“You can only get kicked so many times. ... I think that I had finally had enough. They had trouble treating me very well to begin with and I felt like I was being a glutton for punishment every time I went back. ... I felt like it was the right time to tell them no. It was like one of those bad relationships where you keep trying to get away from it. ... You can’t treat people badly and then hope that they’ll come back and hang out. ... A lot of the girls I’ve spoken to turned them down.”
Nikki also talks about how she broke into the business, her training with Killer Kowalski’s wrestling school, the number of times she was the challenger for TNA’s Knockouts Championship, her involvement on competitive fitness modeling, her newest venture BonRoxx Fitness and their upcoming breast cancer awareness & fundraising event, “Search For The Tatas” (more information can be found at www.bonroxxfitness.com).

The year 2010 is now here by God’s grace and it is the beginning of a brand new year and a new decade. We have much to decide. One of the most important decisions we will make is how we will allow other people to treat us. One woman wisely observed, “People can’t treat you as an inferior without your permission.” Who have we given permission to in our lives to treat us an incompetent and inferior fool? Each one of us must decide what our personal worth and estimation of ourselves will be. Why do we mistakenly think that other people are more worthy and deserving than we are? Why do we break our neck to serve others when they absolutely have no concern at all for our welfare? Did the Creator really bring us here to the planet to be someone else’s doormat? Have we become a glutton for punishment? How long will we continue to force ourselves on people or on a person who obviously doesn’t desire our company? How long will we be someone else’s toilet bowl?
What is our real reason for persevering in doing what we are doing everyday despite the many obstacles that we must overcome? Do we actually crave punishment or hard times or is it occasionally necessary to undergo difficult things to make life better for yourself or others? Do we have a secret desire to be perceived as a martyr? Why do we take on so much stuff? Why are we allowing folks to abuse us as they do? What is the payoff that we are gaining from our misery? Why do we always want folks to see us as overburdened? Do we desire to evoke their pity? Do we know how to say “no” to people? This show will share how to learn to set limits so we won’t choose personal misery for the sake of pleasing others.

TUNE IN FOR A THOUGHT OF ENCOURAGEMENT FOR YOUR DAY TO DAY WALK IN THE LORD
TODAY WE ARE LOOKING AT THE SIN OF GLUTTON AND I KNOW THAT SOME OF YOU ARE ALREADY UNCOMFORTABLE. I CAN ALWAYS GET AN "AMEN" WHEN I PREACH AGAINST THE MORE VISIBLE SINS, BUT SINCE GOD HAS MOVED ME INTO THE SUBJECT OF THE SIN OF GLUTTONY, IT USUALLY GETS VERY QUIET. I REALIZE THIS IS A VERY DIFFICULT TOPIC FOR MANY OF US BECAUSE WHEN GOD STARED DEALING WITH MY OVER-EATING AND WEIGHT GAIN I DIDN'T WANT TO DISCUSS IT EITHER. PLEASE JOIN ME AS WE DISCUSS THIS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE TOPIC.
Sunday Evening Evangelistic Message #73
Scripture: Hosea 10:9-13
Based on a list of sins which the great evangelist Charles G. Finney gave in his classic sermon titled "Break Up Your Fallow Ground: It is Time to Seek the Lord", we began pinpointing some of the sins which we as the church need to confess and repent of. This week, we are continuing this series by addressing the next three sins on our list.
I. The first sin we will address today is the sin of greed. The Bible says in Luke 12:15: "He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live." Greed is defined as "an excessive or reprehensible desire to acquire."
II. The second sin we will address today is the sin of gluttony. Now, I know we don't like to talk about this sin in the church. But it is a sin nonetheless. In fact, it is was designated as one of "the seven deadly sins" by the early church. And, believe it or not, the Bible has a lot to say about it. For example, Proverbs 23:20-21 says, "Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh: For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags."
III. The third sin we will address today is the sin of hate. First John 2:9-11 says, "He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes."
