What makes a Global Entrepreneur?
In this short Global Update, I talk about what comprises a Global Entrepreneur:
Spiritual Connection-all Global Entrepreneurs have some sort of spiritual connection, that is not necessarily defined by any denomination, name, or practice.
Focused on solutions, not problems-Global Entrepreneurs are always focused on the solutions, never the problems. In fact, Global Entrepreneurs are likely to ignore the problem completely as this helps them to stay in a creative state of mind where all the solutions lie.
Believes in Abundance-Global Entrepreneurs realize that the Universe is abundant. This realization sometimes takes years to develop, but deep inside, they know this is true and work to actualize in within their core beliefs.
Wants to be a Global Leader-All Global Entrepreneurs eventually want to play a role in the shaping of the planet and so aspire to lead a life of greatness and by example.
The Other Side is an initiative to create a cross-cultural exchange of dramatic storytelling amongst girls which supports their common experience, inspires leadership, and develops community.
Melanie Closs travels to Pardada-Pardadi Educational Society in Anupshahr, Uttar Pradesh, India each year to conduct drama workshops in which participants at the all-girls school create plays about their lives. Girls in New York City also create plays about their lives, facilitated by a team of 5 teaching artists.
The Voice of Leadership presents the first ever global drama exchange over radio.
Featuring Asha Kumari, 19, from Anupshahr, and Leandra Vargas, 18, from Brooklyn, these two girls present a monologue about their life story. This is a chance for them to connect, learn about each other, and become friends. Melanie Closs, director of The Other Side, and Kerri Lindstrom, Assistant Director, will be facilitating this exchange.
Tune in to learn about these girls' lives and give them a space for their voices to be heard.
