Are You Competing With a Fairy Tale?

    in Women

Do you find yourself constantly trying to meet an unrealistic expectation - either from yourself or from others? Do you impose unreasonable demands on yourself and your family in an attempt to appear perfect in the eyes of other people? If so, you're competing with a fairy tale.

Fairy tales, as we all know, are not based on reality. They're just a figment of someone's imagination. So trying to live a fairy tale life is like trying to stand on a cloud. The constant attempts to keep up appearances or attain an elusive goal can bring nothing but stress and frustration, not to mention the time and money that is often lost in the process.

If you're ready to close the book on the fairy tale and start enjoying your own reality, then tune in today. Author and Motivational Speaker, Rita Emmett will help you to get into balance and learn to enjoy the lane you're in!

Archetypes, Fairy Tales & Divine Feminine w/Cathy Pagano

    in Spirituality

Fairy tales are the simplest experesion of archetypal patterns.  Junians love to work with fairy tales and myths to better understand our personal dream stories, which often reflect these archetypal themes.  While it seem as if many of our inherited fairy tales have a patriarchal bent, it is also true that these fairy tales show us how to deal with this overbearing patriarchal attitude.  Archetypal paterns self-correct, and so instead of Sleeping Beauty waiting for her prince to save her, these tales expressed what the Feminine Principle needs to learn to "do" (the masculine energy) to deal with the situation.  The heroines of these tales were, in fact, learning to save themselves.  That's the message we're seeing today in movies such as Maleficent and Frozen andon TV in Once Upon a Time.  Cathy will also share some stories about her favorite heras/heroines:  Scheherazade, Dame Ragnell and Allerleirauh.

We'll discuss what are archetypes, why it is important to understand symbolic language, why a feminist approach to fairy tales is more limiting than a symbolic one and much more.  Tune in!

How To Create A Mini Fairy Themed Garden With Roses

    in Environment

Fairy Gardens are extremely popular right now, especially with so many films like The Hobbit, Into The Woods, Maleficent, Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters, Frozen and so many other fantasy themed films which have had a tremendous influence on moviegoers. These films have inspired some of the most amazing miniature gardens. Contrary to full sized themed gardens, they are actually very easy to build, even with minimal space and a limited budget! What makes them even more spectacular is the element of minature roses!

What are some easy to grow miniature roses selections that are perfect for a fairy garden? How can you incorporate recycled elements and repurpose others? Tune in to find out! In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to award winning Rosarian, Susan Fox, founder of Gaga’s Garden about what you need to know to build your own miniature fairy garden with roses.
