Hey, I take easy! The Delight of Giving and Receiving!!
It seems that I cannot give things away?? Is that Spirit telling me to insist on payment? For the longest time I was giving hundreds of free readings even when I knew that I should be saving some of the energy I was expending for myself.
I then stopped giving free readings and I hated it!! Connecting in energy had become my blood-line. Its typically an all or nothing game for me, so learning balance was my lesson.
Have I achieved it? Apparently not. Everytime I try to give something away for free.....the people I give the free service to either never call again, get too busy, or just will not accept it!
I once offered someone a discount because they were referred to me, and they refused it!!
I often meet people in energy and sometimes I will read them, but there is always some kind of exchange.
So, this show is about taking easy! I came across this saying on an empowering site, a saying another person's family member had and this family memeber was blessed with abundance! Everyone from miles around would come and bring him things. He didn't want for friends or anything else for that matter. The reason was "Hey, I take easy!" He had an endearing quality and a big smile when he said this. I believe this tradition is worth keeping alive...people came to give him gifts just to hear his words and see his big smile.
People truly crave happiness, but have forgotten how to receive it. It is a gift. It starts simple, a thank you, a hello, a smile, a wave....love your neighbor.
Community is coming back to us!! Embrace it!!

Henry Timms- #Giving Tuesday
It is never too early to plan your giving year. We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now we have #GivingTuesday™, the giving season’s opening day. On Tuesday December 3, 2013 charities, families, businesses and individuals are coming together to transform the way people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season. The idea for the campaign sprung from Henry Timms, deputy executive director of the Jewish community center 92nd Street Y, and Kathy Calvin, CEO of the United Nations Foundation. New York’s 92nd Street Y has been the catalyst and incubator for #GivingTuesday, bringing the expertise of 139 years of community-management to the project, and providing #GivingTuesday a home. Henry Timms has also been instrumental in producing the annual Social Good Summit, in partnership with Mashable and the UN Foundation, which has opened up the UN Week conversation to over 120,000 across the world. Earlier in his career, Henry oversaw corporate strategy for Arts & Business, one of HRH The Prince of Wales’ charities, and helped to launch the Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts.

Giving Is Not Just For The Very Rich with Dr. Susan Gitelson
Dr. Susan Aurelia Gitelson answers many questions about the reasons to give and how to give wisely in “Giving Is Not Just For The Very Rich: A How-to Guide for Giving and Philanthropy”. Gitelson says her book will help readers clarify their priorities, choose charitable organizations wisely and become aware of how to make a real impact. From baby boomers to young entrepreneurs, there are numerous practical ideas for giving back, which not only help others, but also allow donors to feel better about themselves. Gitelson gives examples of the wealthiest donors who act as pacesetters, but then goes on to consider other ways for everyone to give time, ideas and assets to help others. She offers examples of innovative givers, social entrepreneurs, celebrities, government officials, nonprofit professionals, volunteers and social media networkers who also have a positive impact on society.
Analyzing the major areas for giving, she reviews religious philanthropy, education K-12, higher education, science and health, arts, culture and humanities, sports, multipurpose umbrella organizations, awards and international aid. Dr. Susan Aurelia Gitelson has a bachelor’s from Barnard College and her master’s and doctorate from Columbia University. What's Love Got To Do With It
As life becomes more complex in its socio-cultural and economic demands, more and more men and women are practicing relations of the body, more closely related to animals mating, under the guise of loving each other. Femininity is confused with the uterus and masculinity with the phallus. Love for some men and women is only a fleeting pleasure, lacking any real meaning other than that of reproduction or genital gratification. The Love Dr. will discuss What's love got to do with it. Why loving the other person comes with so many false conditions. Loving your partner as your best friend and restoring love to it's rightful place. The love lines are open. True LOVE is giving,True LOVE is....
With less than 24 hours to Valentine's day, tonight James Valentine has a conversation with me about what Love is and what love isn't. Why do find it so hard to love when love is suppose to be a good thing?
Could it be that the challenges of basic human survival, war, poverty, abuse, etc. Life circumstances, such as the necessity for people to work many hours in order to survive, have made it so that most of us, even under fairly healthy family circumstances, do not consistently receive loving experiences in our lives. This lack of tender caring inhibits our pure ability to love and be loved and may explains why romantic relationships can be so difficult and painful for so many people.
