In this special Mother's Day episode of The Change Guru, I talk to Gina Fenton, a New York mother of four teenagers, who's best known to thousands around the world as "Extreme Mom".
Gina uses social media as a way of sharing her personal experience through motherhood as well as supporting others. Her sharp wit, dead honest delivery and "in the trenches right their with you" style has gathered a huge and faithful following.
Gina puts it like this:
"Extreme Mom is a running commentary of the actual conversation taking place in my head. My thought bubble on speaker phone.
The extreme label is by no means incidental. A fairly accurate description would be; matriarch extraordinaire of four teens, including a BONUS from God called ADHD, OCD, Aspergers, Bipolar and every-other-quirk not yet recognized in the DSM. Been there, done that.
Proud member of the Parental Special Forces. That's like a Green Beret, but with more practical skills.
My castle is always chaos.
Blogging and making inappropriate jokes prevents me from face-planting, nose first, into the cuckoo's nest."

PIXIA Corp. recently announced that it has hired Gina Lundy as Vice President of Government Relations and Corporate Communications. In this role, she will be managing all external communications, as well as government relations efforts, aimed at raising overall awareness of PIXIA's solutions to the defense and intelligence communities and other adjacent markets.
Lundy is a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with 21 years of experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community. She served as a political advisor and Congressional affairs lead for all space and intelligence matters for the Secretary of Defense, his legislative team, the DoD Office of Space Policy and the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. Most recently, she was the Deputy Director for Congressional and Public Affairs at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).

Earl Thomas, Bad Influence Band Lisa Biales & Gina Sicilia
From being the first African-American baby born in the Bledsoe County Hospital in Pikesville, TN to traveling the world with his military dad, to almost dying in an accident where he fell off a cliff, the history of Earl Thomas is found in his music and in his words.
With the release of his 12 album, Catch Me If You Can, Earl continues to preach The Blues and insists it be done the right way. He recently held a Raise The Roof fundraiser that was video-cast across the internet and is talking about doing more of them around the country.
We will talk to Earl about his life and his desire to help Raise The Roof.
The Bad Influence Band is Michael Tash, Roger Edsel, Bob Mallardi and David Thaler and they have been playing the Blues since 1998. They have been honored with numerous Wammie Award nominations and are up for three more this year.
Their latest, Under The Influence was a finalist in the International Blues Challenge for Best Self-Produced Recording, nominated by the Washignton Area Music Association for Best Blues Recording of 2012 and was a Pick To Click on BB King’s Bluesville. The band will join me to discuss their lives, how they all came together and where they are headed.
TWO “Couch Kids” return with new music this evening.
Lisa Biales’ latest release is entitled Singing In My Soul and Gina Sicilia’s new album is It Wasn’t Real and I will discuss the albums with the ladies.
