Bush Library Opens; Congress Mulls DC Budget Independence
The presidential library for George W. Bush opened today with all five living presidents attending. The library focuses mostly on 9/11 and the war on terror.
We talk to Todd J. Gillman, Washington Bureau chief for The Dallas Morning News about the inauguration and then we go to Politico reporter Kevin Cirilli to discuss Bush's legacy.
DC passed a charter amendment Tuesday that would give the city more autonomy by granting the nation’s capital the ability to approve its own municipal budget. It’s probably not surprising DC voters would – overwhelmingly – opt for such independence, but it’s not entirely their own to take and Congress may have something to say about it. But they actually do have to say something or they forfeit the ability to say anything. But this is a Congress that can’t seem to pass a national budget.
We get more from Emma Dumain, Reporter for Roll Call where she covers, among other things, oversight of the District of Columbia.

REVENGE OF THE CREATURE
On tonight's show we will discuss "REVENGE OF THE CREATURE" the sequel to the classic film "CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON". While the producer William Alland did not take the care with this sequel that he did with the original, it is still a beloved and memorable film. I have fond memories of this film becaise it is the first gillman film that I ever saw. We will be joined by my co-host Edward X Young and film historian Don Fellman. &nb
