    BAMS moves to a new day, brings same Crimson Tide talk

    BAMS had to move thanks to some schedule conflicts, but we'll still be bringing the same Crimson Tide coverage that has been our hallmark for years. It has been a busy week at the Capstone with three players declaring for the NFL draft, as well as several others opting to return. On top of that, there will be at least two new faces on the Alabama coaching staff following the departure of Kevin Steele and Lance Thompson. We will be joined by AlabamaINTEL's William "redfish" Barger at 7:30 and Tider Insider's Rodney Orr at 8:30 to discuss everything happening on the gridiron for the Tide. We'll also be talking a little bit of basketball as that season is in full swing. The action begins at 7:00 this evening with Cary Clark, Drew DeArmond and Thomas Watts. Be there or be Auburn.

Today, we welcome Marq Burnett, Crimson Tide beat writer for the Anniston Star and Columbus Enquirer as well as our Alabama correspondent to talk about Nick Saban's team through its first four games with a focus on the beating of the Florida Gators last weekend and a look ahead at the Tide's upcoming schedule. We'll also get his take on offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin and the development of QB Blake Sims. In the second segment, we will be joined by our Miami Dolphins correspondent, Mr. Antwan Staley, to look at Miami as they head into week 4 with a 1-2 record and get his take on the controversy with QB Ryan Tannehill and head coach Joe Philbin.

    Miss Georgia Maggie Bridges

    The lovely Maggie Bridges won the coveted title of Miss Georgia last June and went on to compete at the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City, NJ in September 2014.  

    Throughout her reign as Miss Georgia, Maggie has been committed to her personal platform of “Impacting Others Through Volunteerism” statewide. Maggie has given over 800 hours of volunteer service to a wide variety of worthwhile causes. She is also a Team Developer for the Hands On Network, a national organization headquartered in Atlanta, which connects people to volunteer opportunities in their communities. Maggie uses her speaking engagements, media interviews and personal appearances as Miss Georgia encouraging others to volunteer. She is also a statewide ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the Miss America Organization’s national charitable partner. 

    A scholar at the Georgia Institute of Technology, at the conclusion of her year of service as Miss Georgia, she will complete her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a minor in Information Technology. Maggie then plans to earn a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and open her own pharmacy.

    Maggie is a popular vocalist who enjoys performing at events and in churches throughout the state. A personal highlight was singing the National Anthem at Turner Field before an Atlanta Braves game.
