It appears the need for self-reliance may be more important than ever! We face the newest problems of natural disasters such as weather-related conditions and increasing geological situations. People-caused disasters such as the collapsing economy, corruption of the political system, destruction of personal health and wealth, job loss, failing businesses, down-sizing, and overseas outsourcing contribute to the increasing wars and rumors of wars, terrorism, and international conflicts. Add the personal disasters, such as disability, divorce, and death in the family, accidents, and a multitude of things relating to our relationships with others, and it 's easy to see whay people lose hope in their government, their employer, and in themselves!l.
The new 14th Edition of Making the Best of Basics is being published for THIS generation. I have come to the conclusion that it really doesn’t matter what causes the need for you to become prepared ––If you are prepared, you need not fear!

It appears the need for self-reliance may be more important than ever as we face the newest problems of natural disasters, whether weather-related situations or geological conditions, and people-caused disasters such as the collapsing economy, corruption of the political system, destruction of personal health and wealth--and let's not forget the personal disasters, such as job loss, disease, disability, divorce, death in the family, accidents, and so on, any of which can make prepping a valuable personal skill.
We interview people with skills, talents, abilities, and a desire to share their experiences so we can learn how to deal with the uncertain future--and sometimes the certainty of the disintegrating economy, political intrigue, finances, personal and human rights, and conspiracies undermining the great country we cherish.
The new 13th Edition of Making the Best of Basics has been published for THIS generation. It will help individuals and families organize their life/lives to be able to survive and thrive in the face of adversity. I've come to the conclusion that it really doesn’t matter what causes the need to become prepared––If you are prepared, you need not fear!

This is the sermon teaching by Rev. William Branham on the 7th seal. This is the commencement of the 2nd coming of the Lord. It seems between the sixth and seventh seal there are 7 vials and judgements. During this period there will be great geological and civil disturbances.

Tonight's Guest: USGS . United States Geological Service - EARTHQUAKE 2014 - May 21, 2014 - 9:47 pm in Amelia, VA Since at least 1774, people in central Virginia have felt small earthquakes and suffered damage from infrequent larger ones. The largest damaging earthquake (magnitude 5.8) in the seismic zone occurred in 2011. Smaller earthquakes that cause little or no damage are felt each year or two. Earthquakes in the central and eastern U.S., although less frequent than in the western U.S., are typically felt over a much broader region. East of the Rockies, an earthquake can be felt over an area as much as ten times larger than a similar magnitude earthquake on the west coast.
Special Guest: NASA SPECIALIST William Cooke from Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL -

The peak night of the shower is predicted for May 23-24, 2014. Models suggest that the best viewing hours are between 6 and 8 UTC on May 24. That is between 2 and 4 a.m. EDT (1-3 a.m. CDT and so on … translate to your time zone here).
Special Guest: Operation American Spring Update
SPECIAL BIRTHDAY GUEST: to be announced
Wait. Did you feel that? No, it wasn't a tectonic plate shifting, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't Jeff Goldblum watching as a T-Rex caused a glass of water to vibrate. It was modern day heavyweights throwing punches at each other, which tends to set off geological events world wide. But it's okay, because WE HAVE A NEW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION..........OF THE CARIBBEAN!!! But seriously, congratulations to Bermane Stiverne for winning a belt at heavyweight. That said, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and Queensberry-Rules' Patrick Connor are probably more excited to preview Juan Manuel Marquez vs Mike Alvarado than they are to recap a heavyweight fight in the year 2014. Thanks for tuning in!
Our guest this morning is Rick Wilson.
Rick is a Senior Engineering Geologist with the California Geological Survey (CGS) who has worked for over 20 years in the geologic and seismic hazard fields, much of it with the state Seismic Hazard Mapping Program.
For the past six years, Rick has been the Science Coordinator for the State of CA Tsunami Preparedness and Hazard Mitigation Program, a program headed by the CA Emergency Management Agency. This program, with tsunami researchers for the University of Southern CA, recently completed work on statewide tsunami inundation maps for emergency planning and is working on similar tsunami hazard products and guidance for the maritime and land-use planning communities.
Rick is also the state Science Representative of the Coordinating Committee of the National Tsunami Hazard Mitigation Program (NTHMP), a partnership between federal and state governmental agencies designed to reduce the impact of tsunamis through hazard assessment, warning guidance and mitigation. He also serves as the State Co-Chair of the NTHMP Mapping and Modeling Subcommittee which helps guide state and federal tsunami hazard mapping efforts to make sure they are done in an accurate and consistent manner.

BARBARA HAND CLOW is an internationally acclaimed ceremonial teacher, Mayan Calendar researcher, and the author of The Mayan Code, The Pleiadian Agenda, Alchemy of Nine Dimensions, and Liquid Light of Sex. A regular presenter of international talks, she has taught at sacred sites throughout the world. She lives in Vancouver, British Columbia. In this completely revised and expanded edition of Catastrophobia, bestselling author Barbara Hand Clow examines legendary cataclysms—such as the fall of Atlantis and the biblical Flood—and the mounting geological and archaeological evidence that many of these mythic catastrophes were actual events. Tracing humanity’s reemergence after these prehistoric catastrophes, Clow explains how these events in the deep past influence our consciousness today. Passed from generation to generation, this fear has been responsible for our constant expectations of apocalypse. She shows that by remembering and moving beyond the trauma of our long lost past, we bring the era of cataclysms to an end and cross the threshold into a time of extraordinary creative activity.
About the book
In his powerful and poignant new book Silent Voice, Rudner highlights the pandemic occurrence of autism, how it can afflict any child, and, like any malady, how it robs children of their youth, impacting families and communities everywhere.
The carefully crafted verses in Rudner’s compellingly illustrated picture book vividly reveal the horror of a disease that afflicts one in eighty-eight children:
Without favor it strikes
at the playground of youth.
It lays dormant in children
when joy should take root.
The book addresses the symptoms of autism, including “stimming” (repetitive motor behavior), withdrawal, and delayed oratory development, as well as autism’s devastating impact on families and the geological need to uncover its causes.
Rudner emphasizes that this can only be accomplished through increased awareness. He writes towards the book’s conclusion:
The bridge that will span
are those who will meld
awareness and science.
“In short,” he notes, “we must never retreat from hoping children afflicted with autism will recover their youth, which means we must not ever retreat from trying to determine autism’s causes.”

1. According to Reuters, a magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck suburban Los Angeles on Friday evening, rattling a wide swath of Southern California, breaking water mains in a nearby community and prompting Disneyland to shut down rides. U.S. Geological Survey seismologist, Lucy Jones, said, “There could be even a larger earthquake in the next few hours or the next few days.” Since Friday, over 100 aftershocks have been recorded.
2. According to CBS News, with an estimated 17,000 nuclear weapons in the world, people already have the power to exterminate humanity many times over. But according to a LiveScience report, it wouldn’t take a full-scale nuclear war to make Earth uninhabitable. Even a relatively small regional nuclear war, such as a conflict between India and Pakistan, could spark a global environmental catastrophe. Researchers predicted that the resulting firestorms would kick up about 5.5 million tons of black carbon high into the atmosphere. This ash would absorb incoming solar heat, cooling the surface below and creating conditions close to a "nuclear winter" which would cause mass crop failure. Many people would die not only from the bombs and radiation, but from starvation.
The Bible says in Luke 21:10-11: "Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven."
Our second coming quote for today is from G. Campbell Morgan. He said, "I never begin my work in the morning without thinking that perhaps he may interrupt my work and begin his own. I am not looking for death, I am looking for him."

1. According to the Los Angeles Times, the magnitude 4.4 earthquake that struck the area on Monday and was followed by 6 aftershocks is the most significant shake in Southern California since 2008. People reported feeling it within about 30 to 50 miles of the epicenter. A U.S. Geological Survey seismologist said there is the possibility that the 4.4 earthquake was only a prelude to an equal or stronger shake adding that it could mark "the end of the earthquake drought" that southern California has had over the past few years.
2. According to The New York Times, President Vladimir Putin claimed Crimea as a part of Russia on Tuesday, reversing what he described as a historical mistake made by the Soviet Union 60 years ago and brushing aside international condemnation that could leave Russia deeply isolated for years to come. Within minutes of delivering a passionate speech to Russia's entire political elite, Mr. Putin cemented his pledge by signing a draft treaty with Crimean leaders to make the strategic Black Sea peninsula part of Russia.
3. According to The Times of Israel, Israel's Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon issued a scathing critique of the Obama administration on Monday, declaring that Israel cannot rely on the U.S. to thwart Iran’s nuclear program, accusing the administration of broadcasting weakness throughout the world, and warning that its perceived weakness was inviting further terrorism against US targets.
4. According to Reuters, North Korea fired 10 short-range missiles into the sea off the east of the Korean peninsula on Sunday. The missiles reportedly flew for 45 miles before splashing into the sea. ...
