AMONG FRIENDS COWBOY MINISTRIES is the Evangelistic Outreach of Friendship Community Church located in Looneyville, TX in the Pinewoods of Eastern Texas. In the fall of 2010 Pastors Gene and Pamela Tatum retired from the Rodeo Industry as Rodeo Announcers and Equestrian Sports Announcers and MC. While in the Industry, as Announcing The Word Ministries, they ministered at rodeos and equestrian events as well as Cowboy Churches in Texas, Louisiana, Missisippi, Alabama North and South Carolina and Virginia. After returning home to the Family Farm in Texas the Lord laid it on their hearts to re-open a small country church just one mile down the road in the Looneyville community located between Douglass and Cushing, TX. Don't laugh there is "really" a Looneyville, TX. The church had been closed since 2006 and was openned on the second weekend in November and held services on 2nd and 4th Sundays each month. There were 8 in attendance on their first Sunday. Gene was still announcing a few shows at the time and at a Rodeo in Orange Texas in August 2011 during a record making drought, on the Saturday Night performance he had a heat stroke at the microphone. He was able to finish the show with the assistance of the parametics (his wife being one of them). While alone in his motel room with his wife finishing the slack performance after the show, the Lord simple spoke to him and said "you are done with this part of your life". His heart checked out ok and Gene retired from a business he had enjoyed for 30 years.

It comes a time when we begin a search. It could be based on the one time when we believed everything that was told to us and the things we studied in the United States school system. Mean ‘Jammin’ Gene is one that studies and steady read legal Information. Since day one, he knew that WE are 'Living Spirit' and questioned, how does this illegal and unlawful system relates to him?
He has spent over thirty years as a radio personality. He’s worked in the prison system for over four years and ran for office of Sheriff in 1998. He studied and flunked the Real E-state license class and on African Americans Ain’t African, he'll tell you how and why. Since 2008, he's been non-employable, meaning "not for hire".
Mean ‘Jammin’ Gene is not an attorney nor a lawyer, there is a big difference and he will explain that as well, but keep in mind, he does not give legal advice, he does not practice law and as he says, “That would be witchcraft”.
