Dec. 9, 2015, 10pm (PST) - The 2015 World of Crypto with Ronald Murphy

    in Paranormal

As we draw closer to the end of 2015, we wanted to take the time to have a year end show with one of our monthly contributors to Spaced Out Radio, Author Ronald Murphy. Ron made his first appearance in #SOR land back in June when we brought him in to talk about his expertise in the legends of the faerie realm.

But his keen interest in all things "crypto" made Ron a very knowledgeable and credible professional researcher that the Spaced Out Audience really respected. Ron comes on once a month to talk everything from fae to big foot. Recently, he's been following up with Dog Man sightings in the central part of the U.S. and into Pennsylvania.

Tonight, everything Crypto will be on the table as we look back at the strange sightings, the weird tales, the awesome yet unbelieveable stories that made up 2015. Feel free to join us in the Spaced Out Radio chat room to have live discussion with Ron and host, Dave Scott, as we talk about the creatures that go bump in the night.

  • Oct. 29, 2015, 10pm (PDT) - Halloween Crypto Creepy Stories with Rob Morphy

    in Paranormal

With only a couple days before all the ghouls and goblins head out for a night of terror and candy, Spaced Out Radio felt it would be a great night to bring back our monthly "crypto" contributor to the show. Rob Morphy has been studying the odd and absurd for decades. His fascination with cryptids such as Big Foot, Dog Man, aliens, goblins and so much more started as a child.

His love for the Horror genre had him eagerly searching for the real stories behind the movies. Were there any weird creatures that could be out there? What were all these weird reports that people were seeing strange creatures or were being stalked or attacked? Rob had to find out on his own.

His website, www.americanmonsters.com is a tribute to the research and stories he's tracked. From the Dover Demon to the Blackwater Triangle, the funkier the stories, the more Rob is inclined to investigate. So tonight, Rob is hoping to scare the pants off of you.

New Year, New Gargoyles Chat - Authors Maggie the Cat and Mooncat

    in Television

Last spring, listeners were "lucky" enough to hear me talk way too long about Disney's television series "Gargoyles", perhaps the most complex, three-dimensional, dramatic animated program to come out of their studio in its history. They got to hear me wax poetic about my own theories for the popularity of primary villainess Demona as a femslash character, while the people whose opinions mattered more were forced to relay their thoughts secondhand through a chat room. This time, however, the situation has been rectified. Much as I did last autumn with my second Kim Possible show, I'm kicking off 2010 with a second Gargoyles show where other, more successful and talented Gargoyles femslash authors are given the chance to sit down for an interview. We'll be talking with Maggie the Cat, one of two authors behind Gargoyles femslash pioneer Madame Destine, and Mooncat, writer of the erotic "Avatar Wars" series and co-writer of the unfinished masterpiece "To Protect and Serve".
