Do Better December 8th 2014 Garbage In Garbage Out

    in Family

What you allow yourself to watch and read matters.  What you choose to fill your thoughts with matters.  Who you allow to dictate that content matters.  We all sometimes give into the glut of negativity around us, but there is also a wealth of positive input that can lift us up and energize us, and we have so much power to choose.  Today we're talking about choosing what we see, hear and think about and how that affects us during the day and night.  You can choose better.

    Twenty-Four: Garbage Pail Boys

    in Hockey

For the second time, we'll discuss women in hockey blogging on the Jewelcast. Just like the last story that brought this subject to the forefront, a well-known male blogger/reporter has been caught harassing women on Twitter. We'll bring on an all-star panel of women to discuss why this continues to be a problem in our online community and what we can do to stop it: first up, we have Toni McIntyre (@ToniMacAttack), Penguins/Stars fan who blogged about the Stars for the Hockey Writers and actually was the one who first broke this story by bravely coming forward to document her harassment (and is making her second appearence on the show). Next we have Zoe (@zoeclaire_), longtime Penguins blogger across a number of different sites, currently at Hockey Without Propriety where she is absolutely hilarious (seriously go read her "Get to Know a Team" on the Flames like right now). Finally, we'll also be joined by Brigitte Lynne (@OneGirlOnePuck), formerly of The Royal Half, who's also a hockey blogging veteran via her own site, One Girl One Puck. We're really excited to have three awesome ladies with a ton of hockey blogging experience behind them to talk about their continued struggles in this male-dominated space, and we hope you'll listen in! And if you're a woman who wants to talk about your own experiences in hockey fandom, just like last time we'll be taking calls, so use either the Skype click-to-talk button or the guest call-in number to join us on the air!

Bill Martinez Live-Enterovirus; Hollywood gets Ebola; "garbage Truck" Pollay

    in Politics

FEATURING: Jim Gilchrist takes off the gloves and beats up Obama on enterovirus (Michelle was busy with the turnips) John LeBoutillier dares to ask if Obama is so freakin bumbling that his ebola stupidity is gonna be the October surprise; James Hirsen says that Hollywood has caught Ebola fever & will produce a series based on this; David J. Pollay is the author of The Three Promises and The Law of the Garbage Truck and tells us how to be happy in life with 3 rules. Grammy winner Darius Rucker of Hootie & the Blowfish fame talks about his project to help kids TODAY.

Welcome to Bill Martinez Live, hosted by an unapologetic AMERICAN U.S. Marine of Mexican descent who knows why people come to America but demands that immigrants come through the front door and that the rule of law is respected. Bill Martinez Live waves just one flag and has no use for hyphenated hearts torn between the 4th of July and some other foreign flag.  We put the United States over party politics and broadcasting our unstinting praise of this great land to 250 American cities through CRN, BML syndication and the ever popular Blog Talk Radio platform.

Listen in to the show to hear every facet of the issues but keep your eye on God and the exceptionalism to which he has urged on America and its people. Our nation is at a crossroads but remember your solemn birthright fellow Americans as "We the People".  See more at: http://billmartinezlive.com/about-the-program/#sthash.tooJ0atj.dpuf

    (r)Evolution with HiC

    in Education

L*I*V*E READINGS ... Skype in or call 646.716.5510 during the show to receive a reading L*I*V*E on the air with HiC !

This month's (r)Evolutionary guest is INDIGO RØNLOV, Ecopsychologist, Minister, Alchemical Healer and Founder & Executive Director of The Zahra Foundation.

The Zahra Foundation facilitates and teaches workshops and educational opportunities about the value and importance of creating with one's own hands, especially when made from re-purposed and reclaimed materials, and the positive ecological effects this can have on the environment, culture, and family. They are currently focusing their efforts in Egypt, and hold the intention to expand to Central and South America and Canada. By encouraging the reclamation for certain discarded items as a raw material for art and crafts, there is a unique opportunity to re-instill the quickly vanishing values of historical hand craftsmanship. This also encourages a greater consciousness around how people think about garbage, how they consume, and how consumption affects the planet on a larger scale.
