D.A. Pupa, Author of "The Magician" -- a Jersey Shore Thriller!

    in Radio

David Pupa is a first time author who has written a can’t put it down thriller involving a serial killer striking during Hurricane Sandy. From the back cover of the book The Magician: "Hurricane Sandy ravages the Jersey Shore while simultaneously providing the backdrop for a horrible crime. A serial killer takes advantage of the night’s ferocity and inflicts his own damage. The madman then disappears leaving a famed FBI agent broken in the process. The intrigue builds as a young man with an intellect rivaling that of Einstein and Da Vinci is tragically connected to the Bureau’s top agent. As the investigation is renewed, the murders begin once again. While the mystery unravels, no one is truly safe." Yeah, I read it straight through in a single sitting, because I couldn't go to sleep until I knew how it ended. But we’re definitely not gonna spill the beans on the ending! David was a Wall Street stockbroker, and post 9/11 decided on a career change. He returned to school and become a psychotherapist – who better to get into the mind of and write the character of a genius sociopath? David has always been an avid reader, mainly enjoying suspense and thrillers. The Magician has gotten excellent reviews, but the journey to publishing a novel isn’t quick or easy, and David will share his experience with us. After the interview, please check After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live for more info.

Domestic Violence in the NFL (Rice Reinstated) - What Message Did That Deliver?

Domestic Violence in the NFL (Rice Reinstated) - What Kind Message Did That Decision Deliver?

The NFL was forced to reinstate running back Ray Rice by Judge Barbara Jones, making him eligible to return to the field after missing 11 games during the 2014 season, per multiple sources. The NFL has agreed not to pursue any further punishment for Rice. After the conclusion of an appeal hearing that featured testimony from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, the league lifted its indefinite suspension, which it levied on Sept. 8, an increase of Rice's original two-game suspension.

Domestic violence: The Bureau of Justic Statistics (BJS) summary data bunches domestic crimes with their respective counterparts. Because the vast majority of these are assault cases the assault data was broken into domestic and nondomestic, based on another BJS report which states that approximately 21 percent of violent crimes are domestic. (How exactly that translates into arrests is very tricky; the tentative number closer to 15 percent, but to be conservative, 21 percent baseline for purposes of this analysis). The study did not say that all of the players arrested were guilty, and only a small number are ever prosecuted or disciplined (which is also true to varying degrees for the general public).

Let's discuss this case and what kind of impression the final decision gave other women that are being abused.

Thank you for your continued support.

Blood Web: Caitlin Diggs Series #1:

FBI Special Agent Caitlin Diggs faces a paranormal killer when a crystal takes over a teen and leads her on a chase across the country. Empowering the teen with supernatural abilities, the crystal exacts revenge on descendants of soldiers responsible for the Sand Creek Massacre but it also has a taste for neurotransmitter serotonin which it needs from humans to continue its consciousness.
Agent Diggs is the only FBI agent in the bureau to consider extreme possibilities and surmises the teen has a means to track his victims via DNA.
A heart pounding cat and mouse game ensues as Diggs attempts to fool the teen she is his next victim but as she plays with fire, a former military man begins to see the crystal as the perfect ingredient for a mind control weapon. Because the crystal possesses sentience it can counter Diggs' plan for its demise and possibly exert mind control over her as well.
Can Diggs stop this biological internet from taking more victims, becoming a tool for mass mind control and resist the lure of its blood web?

the black traitors of past , present and future !!!!!!!

    in Current Events

In some cases, we know who the informants are(or assassins, whatever the case may be). Actually, in most cases we know--whether we are speaking of Nat Turner and Denmark Vesey or Malcolm X. And the film does name some of the black informants who worked for the FBI and operated within Garvey's establishment. I don't think you can trace a direct line between these informants and the black elite, however. Why they are not always prosecuted to the full extent of the law is linked to who they work for. If they work for "the law," they will escape prosecution, and their ability to infiltrate is precisely why they were hired in the first place.

Some food for thought. Perhaps the more critical "traitors" to the movement in the UNIA were Garvey's officers who pocketed a good deal of the money. Perhaps there is a structural limitation inherent in movements with a hierarchical structure with the goal of accumulation. That individuals could have so much direct access to money is a critical factor in the movement's demise.Their identities can be found in my book, "Seeing Red": Federal Efforts to Suppress Black Militancy, 1919-1925. The black agents were paid the same as white agents, and they joined the Bureau not to "get Garvey," but to secure positions in the federal government which had previously been denied to blacks. They were members of the black middle class who appear to have believed, as did many leaders like W.E.B. Du Bois,

Mikhail Skachko - EZ Power APP Creator

    in Entrepreneur

In this interview Energy Specialist Mikhail Skachko shares with Jack how he has been helping businesses save money on their energy utility bills. You'll quickly see why he is recognized as a leader in this important industry.

In today’s culture, energy is one of those things few of us can do without. Just imagine having no electricity or gas to power our techie toys, heat or cool us and entertain us. This electricity and gas come at a cost, however, and a cost we can’t avoid paying every month.

Mikhail has discovered the ins and outs of saving money that are often hidden or unknown to commercial customers. He is a highly ethical energy broker and believes in full transparency from the energy companies about the costs and fees involved. In fact, he has won the Distinction of Excellence Award from the Better Business Bureau for three years running.

More recently, some of these same happy commercial customers asked him to help them save money on their home bills.Much to his dismay, he found that there were no good resources he could offer his customers to help them with their home energy bills.

This led him to develop a mobile application that gives easy access and information to consumers on their smartphones.

His mobile app shows only trustworthy companies in which he feels confident will continue to be in business for the long term. He also insists that they show all the options so customers can compare companies in an apples to apples way with full transparency as to what rates they’ll be paying every month.

His EZPowerApp.net will be available for both iPhones and Androids.

Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma: the verdict is in. Now its our time!

    in Culture

UPDATE: The federal bribery & corruption trial of former Choctaw Nation Executive Director, Jason Merida, has been found guilty on all counts but one count. Sentencing will come later. The revelations from the trial has fanned the fire of the numerous similar allegations lasting several years, which had been smoldering since Hollis Roberts conviction in 1997.

From the activity in the social media, it is apparent this isn't over. Instead, it is a beginning of activism, educating and organizing the Chahta people into bringing about an overhaul of the governmental entity known as the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. The problem is, what will it look like when we are done? Will we be more unified? Or will we be divided into factions? If we as Chahta people want to make a better Nation for our children, then it is our responsibilities to no longer remain silent. Our steps to unity begin at home and community, where we begin developing a consensus of what we need to do to achieve our objective. And we do it ourselves, the real and lasting power to strengthen our nation is our own investment in what we create.

Bob Burlison, Kalyn Free and Stephen Leflore attended the trial and shared their observations through the social media. Chahta people from around the Nation needed it, but those who do not understad the realities we face living here has been polarized against them.

This is a very important issue, so please share. Time for the Chahta people to pay close attention as we draw near a critical campaign year.

United States Attorney Doug Horn in the final statement of his closing argument, turned away from the jury, looked directly at the spectators, pointed his finger and said, "The citizens of the Choctaw Nation are the victims in this case. We have not stopped our investigation nor will we rest. Choctaw people you have a lot of work to do."
