Cryptozoology expert Robert Morphy is one of our monthly contributors to Spaced Out Radio. As a resident of upstate New York, Rob has investigated any and all reports regarding this obscure territory. Rob will detail to us, sightings of Bigfoot, Extraterrestrials, Dog Man, Black Triangles, Ogres, and so much more.
His website, www.americanmonsters.com, has Rob delving into the weird reports coming in from all over North America and the world. The stranger, the better for Rob, who believes the reports that come in are from normal, everyday people who are just freaked out and have no explination as to what they just saw.
No matter how old the story is, Rob and his crew will investigate it. So tonight, we are going to get into some weird stories that you probably wouldn't think existed.
If you are reading this - and you have read other biographical information that your show host has written about hundreds of artists, then this will take you by surprise. I am totally freaked out. LOL!!! Because Nathan East is something else ENTIRELY.
Over three decades of support for household names. A few - let's alphabetize: Barbra Streisand, Eric Clapton, Daft Punk (Grammy Awards here, pay attention!), Herbie Hancock, Phil Collins, Stevie Wonder, Toto, Whitney Houston....still breathing? Oh, I KNOW, y'all! This is what I'm SAYING - this man is a ROCK of mass appeal. Genre jumping, bass busting, talent. Quincy Jones has said: "He's so talented it's ridiculous!"
A little background so yers truly can calm down. Born in Philadelphia, Nathan was four when his family (eight kids!) moved to San Diego. Nathan studied cello first, then became interested in bass when he was 14. His influences: Mingus and Ron Carter. Electric: Paul McCartney and Chuck Rainey.
On the road with Barry White when he was 16, his resume just grew from THERE. Multiple awards, soundtracks that are too numerous to mention, co-founding Fourplay, an online electric bass school, an accomplished magician as well as everything else just discussed - and - drumroll, please: over 2,000 credits to his name. Honest to God, one of the most recorded Bass players in musical history.
The reason for this visit from the esteemed Nathan East on 9/1: his partnership with Fourplay member, Bob James. Their astonishing project, "The New Cool" is about to drop. THIS host has dropped already, hearing it! Music to captivate and haunt, it's the crown jewel within the Yamaha Family, the company that is sponsoring this golden event.
What a thrill to bring you a glimpse into Nathan East. Second hour. Get your seat EARLY :)

A crazy thing happened to me last month. I ran out of prednisone and had to stop taking it, cold turkey.
Many of you know that you don't just go off prednisone cold like that. You're supposed to wean yourself slowly, or risk serious withdrawal symptoms.
In prednisone withdrawal, you can experience fatigue, flu-like symptoms, mood dips, inflammation and swelling, among other symptoms.
All of these symptoms flare up while your body gets used to making its own cortisol again.
Some quick background info on me: Seventeen years ago my diagnosis was autoimmune disease. Over the years, my symptoms have included rheumatoid arthritis in every joint of my body including my neck and rib cage, along with brain and nervous system symptoms, skin rashes, hormone imbalances, etc. Some doctors have told me that my autoimmune disease was triggered by lyme disease, and is now considered chronic lyme disease.
It's complicated, I know. What else is new?
So anyway, back to the prednisone. I was almost off of it, finally, after using it for a flare in symptoms that I experienced this past winter.
I ran out on a Friday. I thought I had another full bottle in the bathroom cabinet somewhere. But I could not find it anywhere! My prescription didn't have any refills and my doctor's office wouldn't be open until Monday.
I freaked out. This meant that my knees and fingers and wrists were going to swell. I was going to get night chills and a sore throat.
I went into emergency mode and...

Fired Up, Frantic, and Freaked Out
Laura VanArendonk Baugh, a double nationally certified professional dog trainer and the author of the bestselling Fired Up, Frantic, and Freaked Out: Training Crazy Dogs from Over-the-Top to Under Control will be joining Dog Talk's host Michelle Huntting to discuss her book and to share with listeners training tips for canines that are just "over the top."
Looks like it's time for Memorial Day to get Freaked! Picking up where we left off last week, Crafty, Adamizer & Bax will look to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice not as a willing combatant or participant of any kind but typically just by going about their routine business when history crossed their path, swallowd them up and made them a part of it even if, it's not always looked at or remembered that way. Talking about those who perished at the hands of one of these many actual conspiracies, let's take a moment and remember them. The nameless, faceless and unfortunately, countless who were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. We will of course, take some time out to have a few laughs, get a groove on and hear from you, the callers! So tune in, peace out and get that freak on!
Alana Sholar and Bobbie Thompson are a married couple who live in central Kentucky. What is unique about this couple is that Alana is a male-to-female transwoman and Bobbie is a biologically gendered woman.
Alana, born as Alan in 1961, a time and place where the word transgender was not known, lived and worked on Kentucky thoroughbred horse farms and trained to be a jockey. He also worked various blue collar jobs such as construction, trucking and factory work.
Alana believed the most difficult task to ever face in life would be telling family and friends she is transgender, but it wasn't. Within months of coming out as transgender she had to tell them that she had been diagnosed as HIV positive.
Bobbie knew Alan for approximately 25 years and the even shared a traditional male/female relationship in the mid-1990's. Nearly a decade passed when Bobbie saw Alan again in 2006, only this time Alan (he) had become Alana (she). Freaked out, Bobbie told Alana she didn't want to have anything to do with her. Two years later they were married.
Alana is the author of Hung in the Middle: A Journey of Gender Discovery, and Bobbie tells her side of the story in her memoir My Husband Looks Better in Lingerie Than I Do...Damn It.
Today they still live in the same same Kentucky town where Sholar grew up as a male. They have a blended family of three children, four grandchildren, and two dogs.

When Edd was a toddler, his grandmother noticed that when she clapped his hands together for a game of patty-cake, the energy created between his palms was enough to throw both of their arms well apart. That’s when she knew he had her healing gift, too. She was always focusing that energy on him. As a kid Edd played with this energy every day, trying to understand just what it could do, what it must be for. By his teens he had figured out that it wasn’t ‘normal’ and that some kids were freaked out by it so he began keeping it more to himself.
Edd played with this energy in his hands and body constantly as he was growing up. His favorite subjects in school were science and physics, and through them he searched for the scientific explanation of the energy he was experiencing. But there were no explanations to be found until 1994 when he met the distinguished physicist, Dr. William Levengood of Grass Lake, Michigan. Dr. Levengood was able to measure and quantify Edd’s energy output in his laboratory. For several years Edd worked on laboratory experiments with Dr. Levengood, as well as with Dr. John Gedye and Charles Pyler. He learned how to increase his energy output, to turn the energy output off completely, to control the switch of the polarity of the energy from positive to negative, and to affect the lab equipment from a great distance (even thousands of miles). Edd and the scientists designed and carried out countless experiments, with Edd’s measurable output of energy continually increasing. At the same time, his control of his energy was becoming more and more precise.
Tonight join Incubi Incarnate Broadcast with your host Bill Bachman and extremely special guest Scott Gruenwald
Scott Gruenwald has been investigating the paranormal for decades. As he says, he’s “been to many haunts and seen many things. From the halls of Linda Vista Hospital to the crawlspaces of Wolfe Manor, my “hobby” has freaked me out at times. I’ve been grabbed, pushed, kissed, whispered to and, of course, been touched in my bathing suit area. (Not as pleasing as it sounds.)” Of investigating, he says, “Trigger objects…cool; period clothing… OK; nudity… um sure.” Not a fan of all the modern bells and whistles, Scott uses his ample personality to communicate with the other side. After part of an investigation wound up on “The Soup,” Scott found himself starting a “family-run horrible webshow we encourage people not to watch. They still do.” His devoted followers, known as ParaWhores, have multiplied all over the world; Scott was the number two most requested guest for this year’s conference, just under Zak Bagans.

It's going to happen to you if it hasn't already, when your son or daughter tells you they're gay. My son told me through the phone. This show is about when my son told me he's gay for the first time. And I freaked out...
