Many of us have difficulty forgiving others. On one hand, we know it's the right thing to do. On the other hand, we resist. We have been hurt and we're angry and we believe that forgiveness would send the message that we are weak or that we are letting our victimizer off the hook. Neither is true. Point being: When we have difficulty forgiving others, there are perspectives we can take and things we can tell ourselves that will make it easier to forgive.
25: And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26: But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
When we read our Bible we uncover scriptural that tells us to forgive humanity for there sin, pain and suffrage they caused, a lack of Biblical study time, the study of pass history and hatred.
The grief and sorrow may become so heavy that we think it will never end and too difficult to bare. We feel our brother and sister’s pain. It’s real and it hurts so very bad. We struggle during this period and we understand what’s needed of us going forward.

Forgive People in the Community & Community Leaders- Community leaders, including the church leaders should help communities with repentance, forgiveness, healing, & reconciling broken relationships. Racism is a product of hatred, which is a sin. Citizens are doing harm to their own citizens with guns, electronic weapons, electromagnetic radiation, drones & criminal activities. Community leaders may want to investigate past & present injustices/atrocities, i.e. human rights violations or crime against humanity, by conducting public hearings & investigations. Reconciliation cannot happen unless TRUTH is revealed. A F.B.I. agent said, “Nobody is above the law & no one whose position places them above the reach of those rules & regulations, which govern the rest of us.”
Prophetess Letitia Peters states, "In my Love Campaign, I state how I love America, but how I hate its sin, evil, pride & arrogance. With God's help, I will shine the light on the darkness, which is overtaking America & other nations. I have been praying Psalm 35 for our enemies. "Are you making a contribution to make society a better place for all people to live?
Scriptures About Citizens/People:
Makes Jesus your Lord proud of you by being good citizens. Respect the authorities, whatever their level; they are God's emissaries for keeping order. It is God's will that by doing good, you might cure the ignorance of fools. Exercise your freedom by serving God, not by breaking the rules. Treat everyone you meet with dignity. Love your spiritual family. Revere God. Respect the government. (1 Peter 2:13-17)
Be a good citizen. All governments are under God. Insofar as there is peace and order, it's God's order. So live responsibly as a citizen. (Romans 13:1)

Forgive National Leaders & Other Nations -
National leaders, including the church leaders should promote national healing & reconciliation. In order for national healing & reconciliation to occur there should be confession, repentance, & forgiveness in America & in all nations. National leaders may want to investigate past & present injustices/atrocities, i.e. hate crimes, civil, constitutional, and/or human rights violations or crimes against humanity, by conducting public hearings & investigations. Reconciliation cannot happen unless TRUTH is revealed. Racism is a product of hatred, which is a sin. A F.B.I. agent said, “Nobody is above the law & no one whose position places them above the reach of those rules & regulations, which govern the rest of us.” Prophetess Letitia Peters states, "In my Love Campaign, I state how I love America, but how I hate its sin, evil, pride, & arrogance. With God's help, I will shine the light on the darkness, which is overtaking America & other nations. I have been praying Psalm 35 for our enemies. "
Scriptures About Leaders
Let our leaders be just & let them rule by the fear of the Lord. (2 Samuel 23:3)

Leadership gains authority and respect when the voiceless poor are treated fairly. (Proverbs 29:14)
Good leaders abhor wrongdoing of all kinds; sound leadership has a moral foundation. (Proverbs 16:12)
A leader of good judgment gives stability. (Proverbs 29:4)
It's the men who walk straight who will settle this land, the women with integrity who will last here. (Proverbs 2:21)
When good people run things, everyone is glad. (Proverbs 29:2)

What do you think of when you hear the word forgiveness? Does it bring to mind people, places or things that hurt you? Join me as we discuss God's instruction in this area.
If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:14-15
Once you know better, you do better.” Dr. Maya Angelou
Once you begin to explore why some past painful relationships didn’t last, you may be able to see the role you had in contributing to the creation of that experience:
Maybe you overlooked something you shouldn’t have.
Maybe you tried to convince yourself you could make the unworkable work.
Maybe you stayed too long in a relationship out of fear of being alone.
But you did those things because you wanted love. You wanted to love and be loved in return. Your role in what happened came from a pure place.
It’s time that you finally forgive yourself:
Forgive yourself for not knowing what you didn’t know.
Forgive yourself for not seeing what you didn’t see.
Forgive yourself for abandoning your heart, your needs or your voice.
Forgive yourself for all of it.
The tragic and most recent church shooting at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC has once again, caused immeasurable pain, grief and loss to family members and congregants locally and sympathy and an enormous amount of support, comfort and prayers from churches across the nation. In media interviews among Christians and church-goers regarding the tragic deaths of nine members have brought the topic of forgiveness to the forefront. In order to deal with the pain and loss of losing a loved one, bereaved families and friends of the deceased have openly expressed forgiveness to the assailant, believing that is what Jesus would desire us to do. To the utter shock and amazement to the world, this kind of display is unheard of and is causing many who are not Christians, to scratch their heads in bewilderment and awe.
Christians are to love and pray for their enemies (Matt. 5:44). But is loving our enemies equivalent to forgiving them - even when they have not asked to be forgiven?
WHEN should Christians forgive? Should we forgive regardless to what happens to us? Or are there conditions revealed in Scripture, that must occur before forgiveness is granted?
Pastor & Author of "Unpacking Forgiveness", Chris Brauns is our guest and will answer these and other questions from a biblical perspective.

The events in South Carolina have angered me on several levels. I am angry at the acts of Dylann Roof and I am angry that people are wishing he would end up in a "paradise" and they are forgiving him. Religion has caused society a lot of harm, but the lie of forgiveness is a huge atrocity. I am angered that the families and loved ones of the victims feel that is is necessary to forgive the person that wronged them in the worst way possible. People need to know that they do not have to forgive someone that wronged them. It is perfectly ok to hate someone or be angry. You also do not have to wish that person well or that they repent for their sins. You are giving them a pass and a clear conscience.
