With several productions under his belt, Essex is making waves all over the city and beyond. He is the founder and director of SX Branch & Co. and he holds down a full-time job at a local energy company in Houston.
Some of his notable pieces are “But He Said, He Loved Me” – a gospel stage play on mental, spiritual and physical abuse. “Who’s on the Lord’s Side?”, “Don’t Let it be too Late”, “The Stumbled Enemy”, “The Wealth of the Wicked”, and “Somebody Else’s Husband” - the story of a young woman who finds out the hard way of the perils of getting involved with a married man. Branch is currently working on his latest piece entitled “The First Family”.
