    High blood pressure affects about 70 million American adults. That’s 29% or 1 of every 3 adults. Furthermore, nearly 1 in 3 American adults have prehypertension, nearly doubling those numbers. Worldwide the numbers aren’t much better. There are more than 22% of adults diagnosed with high blood pressure.
