"Once people start making power moves without communicating with me, then I think it's time for us to move our separate ways. We may make a lot of changes in my team, but Al Haymon ain't going nowhere," stated undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather, who recently informed FightHype.com that he planned on making some changes to his team in the very near future. So on that note we will talk about these new revelations as well as Yahoo sports claiming the amount of pay per views Mayweather Vs Maidana sold, fake tickets sells in Las Vegas. Sept. 23, 2014 - Golden Boy Promotions Founder Oscar de la Hoya, HBO Sports President Ken Hershman, and superstar boxer Canelo Álvarez today announced a major new agreement to showcase the fan-favorite fighter's matches on HBO Sports.
"For all of my career, I have wanted to fight on HBO for one main reason-I believe it will allow more of my fans to see me in action," said Álvarez (44-1-1, 31 KOs). "Today marks a huge milestone for me, and I look forward to a long and successful partnership with HBO."
"Everyone at HBO is excited to welcome back Canelo Álvarez to the HBO family, and we can't wait to re-introduce him to our subscribers," said Ken Hershman, president of HBO Sports. "At only 24-years-old, Canelo has already established himself as one of the boxing world's brightest stars, and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship as we embark on this new chapter together. We are delighted to partner with Oscar de la Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions in presenting Canelo's fights and events on our various platforms. Have you showered yet? There's a good chance that, following that Pay-Per-View card last weekend, you might have a thin film of filth all over you. Floyd Mayweather is probably still the best fighter on the planet, but his ego was deflated some after a prolonged tussle with Marcos Maidana in their rematch. That was interesting to some, but not much more on the paid card was, unfortunately. This week on TQBR Radio, Patrick Connor of Queensberry Rules welcomes Alex McClintock, deputy editor for ABC Radio National and Queensberry Rules. Not much is on tap for the next week or so, but Orlando Salido, George Groves and a few others may pop up in conversation. Thanks for tuning in!
We're boxing fans, which means we're more or less combat-ready, prepared for some really funky stuff. If nothing else, this rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana has a much, much better tagline than their first bout, which was called "The Moment." This one is "Mayhem." They stuck with the M theme, presumably because you have, "Mayweather," "Marcos" and "Maidana," and someone just got that ear worm. This week on TQBR Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and Queensberry Rules' Patrick Connor preview Mayweather-Maidana II and its undercard, but also last weekend's nice flyweight action, Carl Frampton vs Kiko Martinez II, and the Showtime card featuring Adrien Broner, Lucas Matthysse and Andre Berto. Thanks for tuning in!

Many claim a “school to prison pipeline” keeps traditionally low-performing student demographics from achieving their full potential. Dr. Robert Weissberg disagrees with this notion vehemently. Weissberg is the author of, among several other books, Bad Students, Not Bad Schools and he joins us to discuss the hard truths of education in America on this episode of Cotto & Company.
Nationally syndicated writer and host Joseph Cotto welcomes Dr. Richwine, and both sides of the discussion on the next episode of Cotto & Company; a new thirty-minute-or-so online radio program featuring independent voices who shape our society.
Stephen A. Smith from ESPN’s First Take responded to comments Floyd Mayweather Jr. made about him in an interview with Ben Thompson from Fighthype.com. Mayweather verbally assaulted Smith and apparently wasn’t too happy about Smith saying on a recent episode of First Take that if Mayweather doesn’t fight Manny Pacquiao next that he would publicly state on the show that he believed Mayweather was avoiding Pacquiao.
Smith stated earlier today on First Take that “Floyd knows better than that. He knows that I say what I mean and I mean what I say. And if anyone is back tracking, some would say that he is back tracking. Even if I did backtrack which I don’t believe that I do, at least I got a legitimate reason to, I work for somebody. I have to answer to somebody, that’s ESPN. You want to call that a shame then call most of the American public being shameful because they’re employed by somebody else.”

The Power of Your Spirit with don Miguel Ruiz Jr.
We all like to think we are the masters of our thoughts and our fate, but for many of us, how we think, and what we believe about ourselves and the world around us are the result of an unwitting agreement that we have made to accept a consensus reality that keeps us in bondage, restricts our freedom, and prevents us from knowing and expressing our authentic selves.
According to Don Miguel Ruiz, Jr., we have all unwittingly made agreements about how we choose to live our lives and what we believe our personal truths are. But what we may not realize is that each one of these agreements represents an attachment, a limiting filter on who we think we are, and what the future could hold.
We call these attachments “knowledge” without ever questioning if that knowledge is necessarily true for us.
Don Miguel Ruiz, Jr. is a Toltec master of transformation. He is a direct descendant of the Toltecs of the Eagle Night lineage, and is the son of don Miguel Ruiz, author of New York Times bestseller, The Four Agreements. In his newly released book, The Five Levels of Attachment: Toltec Wisdom for a Modern World, Don Miguel Ruiz, Jr. draws on the Toltec wisdom he learned from his father and grandmother to explore how our attachments create our reality.
