The Brevard County, FL School Board voted unanomously to seek a half-cent sales tax increase next November - right now they are spending approx. $10,000 per pupil. How much is enough? In 1969 America spent under $900 per pupil which would equal around $5,000 each in today's money...and kids learned more back then for less!
There is an official military doctrine called Low Intensity Conflict and many countries have used it over the decades. The Soviet Union used it against America and the West during the Cold War and we used it against them. Well, Progressives have been waging a 100-year low intensity conflict - war - against America. I'll explain on today's show.

I just filed to run for Congress! Democrat Mitch Mallett to challenge Rep. Vern Buchanan for seat in Congress Bradenton newcomer Mitch Mallett to run against Rep. Vern Buchanan Read more here: http://www.bradenton.com/2013/10/24/4789112/bradenton-newcomer-mitch-mallett.html By SARA KENNEDY — email@example.com MANATEE — Democrat Mitch Mallett said Wednesday he has filed papers to run against incumbent Republican Vern Buchanan next year. Mallett, 57, of Bradenton, has not run for public office previously, he said in an interview Wednesday. Asked why he decided to run, Mallett said Buchanan “votes right along with the Tea Party, and we need to get a different perspective in Congress.” Added Mallett: “He’s a rubber stamp for the Tea Party and the Republican Party; he ran saying he’d be open-minded, but if you look at his votes, he has gone the other way.” Mallett was particularly critical of Buchanan’s position on the the Affordable Care Act, saying that the nation “lost $24 billion” because Republicans attempted to defund Obamacare by shutting down the government. The stalemate between the parties ended last week, with Buchanan voting “yes” to halt the shutdown. Sara Kennedy, Herald reporter, can be reached at 941-745-7031. Follow her on Twitter @sarawrites.

Former Florida Governor Charlie Crist is expected to announce Monday that he wants his old job back.
“I work for you, the people, always have, always will,” said Charlie Crist in a recent commercial.
Monday morning,at 10am in St. Petersburg Crist is expected to make it official. But unlike before when he was a Republican, this time Crist will run on the Democratic ticket.
The former, next Governor Charlie Crist will declare his intentions Monday morning in downtown Straub Park. That's near where he announced in 2010 that he was leaving the GOP to run for U.S. Senate as an independent.
"When you allowed me to be a governor, I worked to be the people's governor every day. You the people were in charge," Crist says, with a beach in the background. "I'm an optimist, but let's face it, the past few years have been tough: government on the fringes, donors and politics above you, the people. You've seen the attacks — against full-time working people and their health care, against women and their doctors, against teachers, public schools and college affordability. And even against the simple act of casting your vote. It's not working. Only you the people can end this nonsense and get us back to common sense. That's the way forward. Tell me how I can help. Share your comments with me here. I'll read every last one. I work for you, the people. Always have and always will."
