The Dungeon Crawlers Radio Team welcomes back to the show the eccentric and always amazing author, musician, and all around funny guy Craig Nybo!
Bieber's Finger, a New Novel by Craig Nybo, Tells the Story of Death, Resurrection and Rock and Roll. Bieber's Finger sits in the young adult science fiction space, with a 15-year old girl acting as its main character. Bieber's Finger moves along at a quick pace but feels more like a bubblegum pop space adventure with best friends. Craig Nybo enters young adult fiction for the first time with Bieber's Finger. When it comes to obscurity in fiction, Nybo is no stranger. His debut novel, Allied Zombies for Peace, pitted zombies against the Ku Klux Klan during a 1968 peace rally.

How many examples do we need? Ya'll see how they do us. Ya'll see how they gun us down. They justify why they can do so, have you noticed that? We are going to cover Ferguson, the 12 year old that was just shot and how we as parents should practice Parental Observation when it comes to our kids. Also we need a plan. Lets point the finger at us for a minute as parents, are we accountable for things that happens within our communities or our kids? Family let's discuss.
Guitar instrumentalist, composer and humorist Toulouse Engelhardt, the celebrated guitar virtuoso, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but has lived immersed in Southern California beach culture for much of the past four decades. Over the years Toulouse has earned accolades from serious critics of the guitar and the public alike for his lightning-fast guitar stylings and colorful, cinematic melodies. He was the last original member of the so-called “Takoma Seven,” the highly celebrated innovators of finger-style guitar that recorded for Takoma Records from 1965 to 1976 and included John Fahey and Leo Kottke. Today many in the music industry believe that Toulouse Engelhardt deserves a place among the elite group of legendary guitar masters.

UPDATE: The federal bribery & corruption trial of former Choctaw Nation Executive Director, Jason Merida, has been found guilty on all counts but one count. Sentencing will come later. The revelations from the trial has fanned the fire of the numerous similar allegations lasting several years, which had been smoldering since Hollis Roberts conviction in 1997.
From the activity in the social media, it is apparent this isn't over. Instead, it is a beginning of activism, educating and organizing the Chahta people into bringing about an overhaul of the governmental entity known as the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. The problem is, what will it look like when we are done? Will we be more unified? Or will we be divided into factions? If we as Chahta people want to make a better Nation for our children, then it is our responsibilities to no longer remain silent. Our steps to unity begin at home and community, where we begin developing a consensus of what we need to do to achieve our objective. And we do it ourselves, the real and lasting power to strengthen our nation is our own investment in what we create.
Bob Burlison, Kalyn Free and Stephen Leflore attended the trial and shared their observations through the social media. Chahta people from around the Nation needed it, but those who do not understad the realities we face living here has been polarized against them.
This is a very important issue, so please share. Time for the Chahta people to pay close attention as we draw near a critical campaign year.
United States Attorney Doug Horn in the final statement of his closing argument, turned away from the jury, looked directly at the spectators, pointed his finger and said, "The citizens of the Choctaw Nation are the victims in this case. We have not stopped our investigation nor will we rest. Choctaw people you have a lot of work to do."
Barbara Yoshida is an adventurous traveler and photographer who fills her backpack with tent, sleeping bag, large format camera, film and tripod, then sets out to photograph natural forms, spiritual locations and women artists in countries from Sweden, throughout Europe to the Ukraine, Armenia, Israel, Morocco, The Gambia, Japan, and Mongolia. Camping with her family in northern Idaho was an early influence. She picked up a camera after twenty years as a painter and six years making sculpture, and spent several years doing printmaking, using photo processes. A half-dozen artist’s residencies for the National Park Service resulted in a series of color landscapes as well as a series of photogravure prints. Following ten years of photographing Neolithic standing stones in moonlight, her first book was produced:Moon Viewing: Megaliths by Moonlight, published by Marquand Books in 2014.

Margie Lopez Read paintings, and or prints of paintings are traded for a check made out to a worthwhile organization that the buyer and Margie agree upon.
Donation Art Project. Donating all the proceeds of her art to a non-profit.
The ‘trades’ of her paintings have raised funds for many programs including ‘Doctors Without Borders’, ‘UNICEF’, scholarship funds, food for children programs, athletics for the disabled, animal protection programs and other humanitarian aid programs through the world. And it seems to be growing…
"Art is life and not worth much unless it helps make the world just a little bit better in one way or another."
Art has been important to Margie her whole life, influenced in large part by her grandmother Margie Cooper, who was an accomplished painter. Because of her (also her namesake), her parents allowed her significant freedom to partake in all things creative. Margie Lopez Read indulged in a variety of media, techniques and styles – traditional, contemporary, surreal, pop -- all that was around and developing in the 60’s and 70’s. She also did a fair amount of illustration, cartoons and silk screen art with social and political commentary for high school and university newspapers and for movements such as United Farm Workers.
Over the years, she has participated in various art events, both juried and open. Margie has won some ribbons here and there, and has sometimes displayed her work in art galleries. She states, "All of that is fun, but I want my art to do more. You see, I believe that art is at its best when it teaches, records a memory, tells a story, or provokes thought. It is better still if it can be used to raise funds for worthwhile non-profit programs that improve the condition of our world."
