The Mouse That Roared (Harry Reid), the Democratic Senate Leader, vows to have a revamped fillibuster procedure in 36-hours. Sometime Thursday afternoon, early evening – the fillibuster will not be the bludgeon of the G-Party that it was over the last 4-years. I'm holding my breath. "Dirty" Harry is now on record as stipulating that if the G-Party refuses to go along - Harry has 51 Democratic votes to ram through a change in rules regarding the filli

For the GOP -It's strictly puppies, ponies & rainbows until November-2014.
Sen. Rand Paul R-Kentucky showed the kind of backbone this Wednesday that has long been absent from Republicans. He filibustered in the senate effectively, if only temporally, blocking the confirmation of CIA nominee John Brennan. The filibuster focused on the Obama administration's failure to clearly state that they won't use armed drones to target Americans on American soil? He recieved bipartisan support and we'll talk about it at length.

Let's get right to it:
Rep. House Speaker John Boehner (OH) has proposed Single-Payer Health Insurance.
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham (SC) has proposed to Republican Senator John McCain (AZ).
Republican Senator John McCain (AZ) has agreed that the Iraq War was a boondoggle and a national disaster.
Republican Senator Mitch McConnell (KY) has agreed to lower the number of votes needed to end a fillibuster to 55-votes - down from the current no. needed - 60.
Grover Norquist, Anti-Tax crusader, agrees to raise the Top Tax Bracket To 90%.
Republican House Majority Leader Eric Cantor says any cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are off the table.
Mitt Romney has agreed to explore the possibility of making college education free for all graduating high school students.
And lastly, Republican Congressman Paul Ryan (WI) agrees that the Debt Ceiling is an artificial device that has no place in American Government and needs to be abolished.
April Fools - Only Just Kidding.
On the other hand, just imagine if I weren't ...
Obama Offers to Cut Social Security, Medicare and Popular Programs (Again)? Reid calls Ryan budget more extreme than 'propaganda' of past POTUS, please don't cave! Sen. Sanders will only fillibuster any compromise on Social Security, Medicare, Food Stamps....
The "other half" of the grandbargain happened BEFORE the tax increase part. After $1.3 trillion in spending cuts in 2011, the Republicans finally allowed $600B in tax increases and promptly forgot about the spending cuts and are now insisting on more spending cuts because they gave the Democrats fewer tax cuts than they asked for. The Democrats appear to be willing to sell out the American people in order to placate the Republicans, but that is not what I voted for. Why is it that those who lost the elections are still the ones calling the shots? I don't believe that what we are seeing in our country now is what the Founders had in mind when they set up the political system.
A recent Rassmussen Poll found that only 8% of Americans now identify with the Tea Party, dcown from a high of 30% in 2010. Is this the beginning of the end of the Tea Party, a new beginning for the Republican Party, or both? Gun and ammo sales are exploding. Is America short on guns, or is the NRA and the gun industry pushing the "Obama will take your guns away" fear to stoke sales? Can we fix the SEnate? Brian Darling, Senior Fellow for Government Studies at the Heritage Foundation, shares “The REALLY, Real, Deal with Brother Craig the Hatchet Man” about “Tryanny in the U.S. Senate”, a recently released white paper exposing Senator Harry Reid’s abusive restriction of senatorial debate. The Senate body’s long history has traditionally allowed all Senators to participate by extending debate and offering unlimited numbers of amendments. Although the
