The maintenance steps, 10, 11, 12. Keep me aligned with life. And we all know life can throw us some curve balls. If I am right with myself, I am right with people around me.
12 Stepology is the study of the 12 steps. It all started for me in AA / NA then Ala-non mixed with some ACOA and a little OA for dessert. No pun intended. I use the 12 steps in all aspects of my life and have found the happiness I was looking for in The Drink / The Drug / The Person / The Food / Oh! did I mention Sex.
So I share the 12 Steps, how they work in my life, how ego does not work in my life. The Highs, The Lows,The In Betweens. Other words the path in my recovery to happiness. Have I arrived, Hell! No! But I am on the right path and the journey has improved. My Goal is to share my Experience,Strenth and Hope with as many Peeps possible.
Let The Fun Begin!
In the calm, I find the answer, let's call this a wind down Friday or just a wind down, after a long day of running, not finishing everything we planned for today.
I am going to read a few snippits from different 12 step books share a little bit on them.
You ever get the fuck it's, you know the fuck it's, fuck this, fuck that. Well how about the positive spin on fuck it!
God grant me the serenity to let this go.
Followed by a spiritual reading.
12 Nov 1914: When the Indians Arrived
The people of the Raj – modern India and Pakistan – were not consulted about their participation in the war. More than 1 million soldiers served overseas in the Indian army – and 75,000 died. By autumn 1914, Indians were on the western front.
It was a curious sight to all of us, French or English, the day when the Indians arrived in a dreary little town of Northern France … Suddenly the Indian Lancers appeared, and the pavement on both sides of the street was at once filled by a crowd of soldiers and civilians watching the procession, as a London crowd will do in Whitehall on the day of the opening of Parliament. In fact, those Indians looked all like kings. The Lancers sat proudly in their saddles, with their heads upright under the Oriental crowns; then came a regiment of Sikhs, walking at a brisk pace, all big and strong men, with curled beards and the wide 'pagri' round the ears; the Pathans followed, carrying on their heads that queer pointed bonnet, the 'kullah,' which reminds one of the warriors seen on old Persian tapestries – a more slender type of men, but equally determined, and with faces at the same time smiling and resolute.
… The day after, we heard that during the night one of the Sikh regiment had had to recapture the trench, which the Germans had taken by surprise, and that their bayonet charge was so tremendous that the enemy did not dare counter-attack. Almost immediately after that feat an order came not to allow the Indians uselessly to expose their lives by walking out of the trenches. The fact was that, in order to show their contempt for death, some Sikhs had refused to hide themselves in the trenches and had immediately drawn a fierce fire on their regiment. Fortunately, they did not insist on playing that sort of game; otherwise the Indian Army Corps would have disappeared.
I'll be starting a series called "Secret Faults", David asked The Lord to cleanse him from secret faults in Psalm 19:12. We all have these s Secret Faults within us. Why are they there, and where did they come from?

Life Coach, Personal Development Specialist, Author and Radio Talk-Show Host Nazim Rashid is the guest speaker today continuing his dialogue on Recovery, specifically the 12 Principles of Recovery taken from his program and book Reconnected-How To Be A Mentor To Your Child-Self. I have a real personal investment in Addiction Recovery and have over 100 pages dedicated to Addictions, Co-Dependency and Recovery in my Twelve Principles of Recovery chapter and Co-Dependency chapter. This Recovery program is not just for those afflicted with drug addictions. It is also beneficial to those suffering from Anger, Abuse, Compulsive Disorders, Overeating, Gambling, Sexual, and Controlling issues. This is good for relationship building too. It is time to internalize the feelings, emotions, and visions of the New You. You need help in doing so as you are going against all the voices of the past telling you what to do, what not to do, who to be with, who not to be with, what you can accomplish and what you cannot accomplish. This kind of energy is monumental and is hard to just blow it off and create a new life. This book Reconnected gives you the pratical tools to do this step by step. --- On the last show I finished the 11th Principle of Recovery.
