This episode of PROPHECY QUAKE is from the February 22, 2015 service of Fire & Grace Church in Opelika, Alabama. In this message, Pastor Dean shares some of his personal battles over the years and how we all still struggle with sin, failure, fears, discouragement, hurts, betrayal, and demons. That is why there will never be a time that we do not need the blood of Jesus and His power to live the Christian life and finish the race. Pastor Dean also shows the difference between Christians who make excuses or come up with bad theology to justify indulging their sin verses those who hate their sin and keep pursuing God to overcome it. This is a message of hope for those that have fallen down or drifted away from God.
Do they? Do last guys (or people for that matter) finish last? Are they the last to be picked when there is a 'picking' to be done? Are nice people relegated to the bottom of the pile while others climb the ladder a lot quicker? Are nice people dumped on because they seem to be easier targets compared to others? Are nice guys forgotten when it comes to picking celebrating team successes? Are nice boys and girls the easiest to reject?
Hopefully, this show will help answer all, or at least most of these questions - and more.
How the Nice Guys Finish First philosophy was developed by Doug:
In 2000 Doug's relationship with Baltimore City schools led him to create an "Edu-Train-Ment" program incorporating entertainment, training and speaking to students and administrators about the importance of effective communication in the school system. That program created the foundation of the Nice Guy formula: Invest, Inspire, Execute.
In 2008 Doug had his first multi stop speaking assignment with Mobile Beat Magazine. The assignment was a 4 city teaching tour, speaking to other entertainers about the importance, within the industry, of customer service versus talent. The tour combined session speaking and workshops.
In 2013 Doug combined his experience of growing a successful entertainment business with his knowledge of customer service and building profitable business relationships and lifelong clients. The concepts and principles come to life in a Keynote titled "Nice Guys Finish First - Spinning Connections Into Lifelong Relationships."

Are faux conservatives more dangerous than liberals?
Ted Cruz appears extreme because the conservative movement as a whole does not champion its own. Outside of talk radio and a few scattered outposts, conservative commentary is mostly void of any passion, humanity or a “we got your back” spirit of camaraderie.
Liberals, by contrast, rally behind their own, thus Barack Obama, an avowed extremist who promised the fundamental transformation of the United States, can actually pose as a moderate looking out for everyday Americans. Ted Cruz bears the label of an out-of-touch extremist because few if any on his side will rally to his defense. Ted Cruz is a victim of the high school social network mentality, where the cool clique decides who it’s ok to laugh at and make fun of. The senator, of course, wears a giant kick-me sign on his back, and the Kathleen Parkers go along, deathly afraid of not fitting in, uninterested if the dork in the hallway might possess a redeeming quality.
Conservative moderates, always style-conscious, never stand behind the likes of Cruz and Sarah Palin, even when the criticism devolves from policy and tactics to the personal, the snarky and nasty. Heck, if anything, they’re leading the charge. Recall that Parker urged Sarah Palin to remove herself from the 2008 ticket and wrote that the governor’s appeal was largely superficial.
This week my guest is Karen Koenig, author of Nice Girls Finish Fat: Put Yourself First and Change Your Eating Forever.
About the book:
From a therapist and expert in emotional eating, the first book to explore the link between weight gain and women who do too much, complete with proven techniques for dropping pounds.
Many women put too much on their plates, both literally and figuratively. In Nice Girls Finish Fat, psychotherapist Karen R. Koenig explains the link between the two and gives overweight women detailed advice on how to lose their extra baggage—both emotional and physical—by becoming more assertive in every aspect of life. For the millions of overweight women in America, diet and exercise just aren’t cutting it. That’s because many of these women have emotional issues buried deep beneath those stubborn pounds, issues that must be dealt with first if weight loss plans are to succeed. In this illuminating book, based on decades of professional experience, Karen Koenig offers on-the-page psychotherapy to help readers attack the roots of their food problems. With her engaging personal style, she teaches women about the biological connections between repressed emotions and eating, revealing the ways many women use food to stuff their anger, control their aggression, and assuage their feelings of guilt—all in the pursuit of being “nice.” Giving “good girls” permission to love themselves first, Koenig offers thought-provoking quizzes and questions to help readers identify and overcome the habits that have been holding them back. Empowering readers to gain the confidence they need to lose weight.
26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
34 For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
