Our Guest: A graduate from the Académie Charpentier School of Visual Art in Paris in 1999, she worked in the music industry for seven years. Disillusioned by a world driven by mass consumption, she left her work environment and found refuge in Saint-Louis, Senegal, hometown of her father. She discovered her extended family and started portraying them. Delphine then creates the Magic photo studio, homage to Malick Sidibé’s photo studio. She adds collages, drawings and colors to her photographs, to underline the emotions of her subjects and tell the whole story. In 2008, the French-Senegalese photographer moves to New York to live her artistic life, considering that Paris is not the right place for an artist to emerge. She realizes that mixing mediums of expression is a powerful way to describe the world she is trying to capture. On a trip back to Paris, she met Peter Beard and shares her first series of mixed media portraits. Impressed with her creativity and spontaneity, he offers her to collaborate for the Pirelli calendar photo shoot in Botswana. In August 2010, she travels to the Crow country. It opens her to a completely new world, a greater and new vision. She witnesses a progressive resistance among the Crow members, reviving their traditions and rituals. Delphine is amazed by their hospitality and their kindness, a very different experience from the negative image of Native Americans often broadcasted by media. Besides the spirituality and symbolism of their dances, she feels the urge to portray family reunions. The elders recount stories to the young crowd, leaving their western clothes behind to dress like real Indians. Delphine Diaw Diallo is transformed, she believes her art connects with spirits and hopes spirits will help detach humans from the material world. In 2012, Smithsonian named DelphineDiallo one of Photography’s Emerging Stars.

From April 6, 2012 - Blueotter connects the dots between a prophetic song by Floyd Red Crow Westerman, The Torah, the 24th Chapter of Matthew, the Hopi Prophecy, the Mayan Calendar, leaks from a NASA employee, and the underreported and little known Third Prophecy of Fatima... all pointing to future catastrophic worldwide flooding... but not as extensive as that of The Deluge in The Days of Noah.
He also shares some of his life experiences, (UFOs, vision quests, etc.) between playing songs related to spiritual experiences, natural disasters, native protest, etc...

"Project White Paper" interview of Will Blueotter on the Inception Radio Network. He explains how the prophecies of the Hopi, Mayans, Cherokee, Lakota, Mormons, Catholics, Jews and others intertwine with regards to 2012. The sum total of the entire picture yields a much less mysterious picture than one might think of what is about to happen 2012 and beyond.
This month, The Clarkie-Connection turns a long-awaited focus towards the state of the African-American family, specifically, with respect to education, incarceration, empowerment and several other potent issues. Of course, there will be significant time spent discussing violence against black youth, in particular, the Michael Brown story and all that has transpired in the weeks since he was shot and killed by a police officer in St. Louis. It seems like unarmed young, African-American men are being systematically gunned down by Caucasian police officers at an alarming rate - one study reveals that a black youth is killed every 28hrs!. Without allowing this disturbing trend to adversely inform the nation's perceptions of African-American youth, or the good police officers we rely on for peace and protection, it would appear that - at the very least - a sober conversation is warranted to dissect and discuss the issues within, behind, and surrounding this trend. Join the Clarkie-Connection and chime in with your thoughts and feelings on the issue which will eventually affect every African-American family, sooner or later, in either its prevention or cure! ....This is what great talk-radio is meant to be about!~

Talking about the recent cases of police brutality, the killing of two Black men, Eric Garner in Staten Island, NY, and Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO. Reading from my collection of poetry about police misconduct, "Sometimes Blue Knights Wear Black Hats."
"Sometimes Blue Kights Wear Black Hats:" is a collection of poetry about law enforcement excesses. Most of the poems were inspired by actual cases from around the country. The author did not set out to compile a collection of these poems, but more and more, nearly every day, another case of law enforcement's excessive use of force was reported in the Media. The author also did not set out to demonize law enforcement, but focused on those cases where things went terribly wrong, for a number or reasons.
The last couple of weeks we have been made aware of some very public killings by police nationally of young black men. From Los Angeles to Missouri andNew York, black men have been killed by police officers in brutal manners. Choke holds, and gun fire raining down on unarmed men who had no way to defend themselves.
This is nothing new. For years there are have been unprovoked attacks on young men of color. The difference now is that everyone has a cell phone and access to YouTube.
Although we can't bring these men back, the goal has to be the social activism of citizens will bring this madness to a halt.
