    Singer-songwriter-guitarist Charlie Farren

    in Music

Charlie Farren emerged onto the national scene in the early ’80s as lead singer and guitarist with The Joe Perry Project establishing himself as one of the hottest young singers to emerge from the Boston music scene with hits including ‘Listen To The Rock,’ ‘East Coast, West Coast’ and ‘I’ve Got The Rock And Rolls Again’. In 1986 Charlie, along with Dave Hull (Joe Perry Project) and John Muzzy, formed FARRENHEIT.  With three singles from that album, ‘Fool in Love’, ‘Bad Habit’, and ‘Lost in Loveland’, as well as video exposure on MTV, FARRENHEIT became one of the premier new rock acts and receiving awards, media attention and new fans across the country. Released in 1999, ‘Deja Blue’ established the Farren brand in earnest with masterful songwriting, soulful vocals and keen instincts for musical re-invention. Following up in 2009, Farren released a live DVD and CD double set, ‘CHARLIE FARREN: Retrospective – Live at The Regent Theatre’ , a tour-de-force that exhibits sophistication and musical depth most recording artists never achieve. Charlie’s exquisitely soulful voice confirms him as one of the world’s most easily identifiable and gifted singer/ songwriters. Charlie is currently working on a project with partner and fellow singer/songwriter Jon Butcher, FARREN BUTCHER, INC. Both Charlie and Jon are members of the cast of judges in the Emmy award winning television program, Community Auditions, and both were included on the bill of the 2011 Boston Legends New England tour.

Charlie Farren - New Release - Honors Brad Delp

    in Entertainment

We welcome back our friend Charlie Farren from Boston, MA. Charlie is releasing a new CD called "Tuesday"     "Boston-area music legend Charlie Farren, (Joe Perry Project, Farrenheit, Farren-Butcher Inc.,) will be officially releasing his newest CD, Tuesday at a solo performance on Friday April 5, 2013 at The Center for Arts in Natick, MA. Tuesday is a collection of Farren’s latest works which includes the title track “Tuesday,” a song written, but never released, by the late Brad Delp, Farren’s friend, and legendary front man of the group Boston."   Tragically, Brad passed away March 9, 2007 but he had previously shared a song with Charlie that was almost complete. With permission from Brad's family, Charlie completed the song, recorded it and made it the title track of his upcoming release. Charlie will discuss the history of his friendship with Brad Delp and how this song ended up with him.  We will also debut other great songs from Charlie's new CD. And of course as always, Rev Mike from Chesapeake Cigar and Chef Donna Desfors will join us for their weekly additions.
