All of us at some point in our lives will face something in life that's truly beyond our strength to endure. And often times they are battles we fight and sometimes overcome by God's awesome power and might. Other times we seem to not want to face that Giant in our lives, and it leaves us fearful, which means we will fall way short of what God has in mind for us. Perhaps its an illness, job loss or losing your home, struggling with ography, insecurity, lust. At that very moment as we seek to overcome victoriously no matter what it is just know its used by Satan to cause you to fail and give up, but God uses it to move us to greater heights that we've never seen before. By God's grace may He help us overcome daily by the Spirits sword to defeat those giants in our lives.
Uncertainty is unavoidable in our daily life because we do not know what lays ahead of us and we do not know what to expect. Dr. Margaret Mbindyo and Eva Donn will help us understand why people vary in their ability to deal with uncertainty, understand behaviors related to uncertainty, how uncertainty destroys our faith and how we can face it. All of the reasons why Fear is only holding you back!
We look at a lot of scenarios for what might happen in the future -- cool technological developments, major advances in science, new evolutionary developments for humans and for other species on this planet -- but are there any future developments that we can say with any certainty will happen?
Hosts Stephen Gordon and Phil Bowermaster introduce the Inevitablity Scale, a tool for gauging whether a specific future outcome is inevitable. We will take a look at how some future events stack up when measured for inevitability:
The Next Presidential Election
The End of the World
The First Manned Flight to Mars
The Emergence of Greater-than-Human Artificial Intelligence
What can we say for sure that we know is going to happen? Tune in and explore.
As we see the continued increase of single parents in the home and the absent Parent is no longer just the Father, but the Mothers are leaving their children with relatives, because of emotional or physical reasons, etc., what message do you think is being sent to the next generation? Are we sending a message that creates a fear of the Family unit as we know it facing EXTINCTION?
Several potential presidential candidates are starting to make their move. GOP and Democrat "possibles" are definitely starting to test the waters. Governor Bobby Jinda of Louisian (R) and Vice President Joe Biden and beginning to make the rounds whooing the public and officials.
The "Not War" against ISIS is turning into a huge internation debate and promises to produce a lot of doubt and confusion with our potential supporters and allies.
Why should this be a surprise? President Obama, his cabinent and our military leaders seem to be confused. Inturn, the American people are getting mixed massages causing them to be confused and concerned.

The topic of our last program was "What is my destiny/purpose - NOW? It was about the feeling of being at a fork in the road and not sensing what is next. We discussed the feeling of being bored and almost frozen in a sense of not knowing what to do.
Our program this week will discuss the events we experiences since our last program. It was much different than I expected and I am sure my co-hosts agree. We will discuss this very personal journey as we believe many people are in the same place in their life. It is always amazing how when we get together and share our personal perspectives there is clarity.

“We have been so disenfranchised for so long by supporting every other culture or nationality, other businesses, because we haven’t had any. When we do, when people of African-American descent do take off and start a business, it’s kind of difficult for it to be successful or for it to thrive because the community doesn’t invest into it.” --Jamiel Robinson, CEO of Grand Rapids African American Black Businesses
Ladies and gentlemem on this episode of In Life Now we went "hard in the paint" and talked about some serious issues, challenges, and roadblocks currently facing the black community on a local level as well as national level within the city of Grand Rapids, Michigan with our guest Mr. Jamiel Robinson, Community Activist and CEO of GRABB along with our cohost Community Activist and Executive Director of Bates Place Rev.
