The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, to whom the word of the Lord came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign. It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the exile of Jerusalem in the fifth month.
Now the word of the Lord came to me saying,
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
And before you were born I consecrated you;
I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Then I said, “Alas, Lord God!
Behold, I do not know how to speak,
Because I am a youth.”
But the Lord said to me,
“Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’
Because everywhere I send you, you shall go,
And all that I command you, you shall speak.
“Do not be afraid of them,
For I am with you to deliver you,” declares the Lord.
Then the Lord stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me,
“Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.
“See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms,
To pluck up and to break down,
To destroy and to overthrow,
To build and to plant.”
God called individuals from differing backgrounds to speak as prophets on his behalf, sometimes in difficult circumstances. The backgrounds of the prophets. Moses was brought up in the Egyptian royal court. Samuel was a temple servant at Shiloh. Elisha was a farmer.
Ezekiel was a priest living in exile in Babylonia. It is not entirely clear whether Amos was a wealthy sheep breeder and land owner or a poor migrant worker before his call to be a prophet. The Hebrew word translated shepherd could equally well be translated sheep...
In the book of Ezekiel 37 God tells the Prophet Ezekiel to speak to a valley of dry bones so that they could live again. God is speaking to you prophets today with the same message to a spiritually dead nation to speak to the dead bones a word form God of eternal salvation, santification and love so that just as in Ezekiel we can hear a rattling and shaking and bone coming together to its bone, sinue and flesh covering those bones and a breath of God entering them and behold stand a great nation. Prophets it is time for you to begin to speak life into a dead generation and the message is not money cometh but rather the King is coming!

The Middle East has always been a boiling pot. Scripture talks about four future wars. Two of them, the Ezekiel 38/39 War and the Psalm 83 wars appear to be the wars on the horizon. The question is, which one will come first? What are the attributes of each war? How do they differ? Tonight we'll talk about these wars and if we have time, some other subjects. Please listen in and/or join in at 6PM Pacific, 9PM Eastern tonight.
If you were lucky growing up then you had great support around dating and falling in love. However if you had even greater support around responsibly and respectfully breaking-up then consider yourself more then lucky. Breaking up is hard to do, but at one point or another you’re going to have to go through the pain of it. Many of us will go through this pain some of us will encounter it quite a few times. Love is full of lessons, and breaking-up as hard as it may be, is simply one of them. Join us and our special guest, Ezekiel Goodwin this Saturday as we explore the phenomena of breaking up and more importantly how to bounce back. See you on the other side...
