The Purchased Possession
(Part I of the Ephesians Series)
~ John 6:34-40 / Ephesians 1:1-14 ~
In the book of Ephesians Paul is talking to the faithful, to the Believers and the Saints.
Paul isn't talking on the milk of The Word. He is talking to those who are faithful church leaders. Hos speaking about the Blood.
People think you only have to believe. They forget they need to trust.
Trust in the Blood and believe in the Cross. We were purchased by the Blood. We are a possession of God's, very precious to Him.
Matthew 25:31 - 46. The sealed contract. The agreement is to go make someone elses life better.
"follow me to the least of these." Trust and believe. Will the checkbook balance in the end.

EPHESIANS 1:4-11: A QUESTION OF PREDESTINATION OR FREE WILL, OR BOTH
The provocative issue that God chose to reveal to the Aposle Paul in Ephesians 1:4-11 has led to one of the most controversial questions within the Body of Christ, since the beginning of Christianity itself; that question being, "Were those saved unto Christ, chosen by God from the foundation of the world, or is salvation a choice that each person must choose for him or her self?"
And the subsequent question being even the more provocative, is, "If the question of salvation was predestined (already settled), and those who are going to heaven and those who are going to hell has already been determined, how can we know for sure which destination our final journey in life will take?"
Refuge Talk is a program on Bible Study, and Equipping for our growth and spreading the word of God. On this program we are going to be looking into the first part of Ephesians 4
The letter of Ephesians emphasizes the truth that all believers are united in Christ because the church is the one body of Christ. The first part of Ephesians deals directly with the doctrines of the Christian Faith. We have studied how God formed this body from Jews and Gentiles with Jesus Christ as the head. The second part of Ephesians shows how these Spiritual Truths should show or be reflected in a Christian’s walk.

For the past few weeks, we have been examining the wonderful message of hope, service and faith found in the Apostle Paul's letter to the Ephesians. We discussed and learned the roles that predestination and free-will play in the Salvation plan of God for Mankind. We learned that we have been saved by the grace of God, through faith in His only Begotten Son, Yahshua Ha Mashiah/Jesus the Christ. We were taught, through studying the Book of Ephesians, that all believers are united in one Body... that being the body the endured 351 lashes from the lictor who carried out the torturous act of scourging and the six hours of unimaginable pain and shame that He suffered on the Cross at Mt. Calvary.. that body being, the Body of Christ. By His supreme sacrifice we have become reconciled to God the Father, having put to death the emnity between the Father and mankind.. enmity that began in the Garden of Eden with our first parents, Adam and Eve. Through the Christ, we have access to both the Father and the Holy Spirit. We also discoverd that the reunited relationship between man and his Triune God, is longer limited to the Jews, but to everyone who confesses Christ as Lord and believes that He rose from the dead. Paul reminds us that " there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. We discussed, at great length, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which we refer to as the five-fold ministry; the gifts of, apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher. In this letter, we are admonished to lay aside lying and stand on the truth; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and to let all bitterness, wrath, malice and slander not be named among us. Be imitators of Christ, as beloved children and do not participate in deeds of darkness, but instead, expose them. We were instructed to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 6: 10-20;
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
