The criminal negligence of Barack Obama's pro-terror policies; No, barry, the Cuban people are suffering because of their repressive communist government you love so much, not the U.S. embargo; Is there really a growing schism within American environmentalism?; "Reforiconservatism" has a strong "abandoning free market principles to save the free market system" vibe to it; and, if we must, as little Hillary Clinton crap as possible.
Last week I presented two courses to the Kentucky Dental Hygienists' Association. The first was The Oral Environmentalist. As the first time presenting this course I was interested to know what the audience thought about a couple of new things I did for this course. One was the use of videos to highlight the concepts and terms I was using.
Today I talk mainly about one of the videos I used during this program, a TED talk on angiogenisis, production of blood vessels. It was very interesting and convincing that plant parts can really be health producing. Not only do plant flavenoids reduce bacteria's ability to create biofilms when exposed to the flavenoid, but internally and systemically flavenoids may be anti angiogenic. That property may make it a productive anti tumor "aide."

It has Californians timing their showers, driving dirty cars and staring at brown lawns and empty swimming pools is a man caused disaster, according to critics, who say the Golden State’s misguided environmental policies allow much needed freshwater to flow straight into the Pacific. The critics say California gets plenty of water to meet its needs, if it were only managed properly.
But the vast majority of the state’s 1,400 dams and reservoirs, in the two massive systems and smaller ones that supply southern California, were built well before the 1980s. Environmentalists have since stopped the construction of water storage and delivery systems through legal and political actions. They have also fought to ensure that captured water is released into streams and the ocean -- rather than the water delivery system -- in order to boost fish populations and dilute the salinity of the delta.
Mark Baird is president of a Water Rights Group in Northern California called Scott Valley Protect Our Water. He is also the leading grassroots advocate and spokesman for The State of Jefferson.

The Climate Science Article Greenpeace Doesn't Want You to Read: An Interview with Willie Soon
On a special Earth Day episode, guest hosts Keith Lockitch and Amanda Maxham will interview climate scientist Willie Soon about his recent scientific paper challenging IPCC warming estimates. Dr. Soon has been the target of a witch-hunt orchestrated by Greenpeace over false allegations of failure to disclose conflicts of interest. Could it be that Greenpeace is trying to distract attention from the paper’s important scientific conclusions?
Keith and Amanda will give a hearty Earth Day “thank you” to “the nearest, grimiest, sootiest smokestacks” they can find. Plus, they plan to eat food made from GMOs, live on the air. Are they putting their lives at risk? Tune in to find out what happens.
After accepting a dare, 21-year-old Thonie Hevron tested and was hired by San Rafael Police in 1973 as a Parking Enforcement Officer. That was 35 years ago. She writes like she thinks: like a cop. Her first book, BY FORCE OR FEAR won third place in the Public Safety Writers Contest 2012. INTENT TO HOLD won first prize at the "Police Blotter" contest by Oak Tree Press in November, 2013 and third prize at the Public Safety Writers Contest 2014.
Betty Jean Craige grew up in El Paso, went to Pomona College for a B.A. in Spanish Literature and to the University of Washington for an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature, spent a formative year in Madrid, and then in 1973 came Athens, Georgia, to join the faculty of Comparative Literature at the University of Georgia. After thirty-eight happy years at the University of Georgia, she retired in 2011 as University Professor of Comparative Literature and Director of the Willson Center for Humanities and Arts. Along the way she published seventeen academic books in the fields of literature, literary translation, art, and history of ideas, including the biography Eugene Odum: Ecosystem Ecologist and Environmentalist. Her novel Downstream is a murder mystery with an environmentalist message.

Wednesday, April 8, 6pm EDT: Mitchell has invited back environmentalist, M.I.T. trained engineer, author, popular speaker, Matthew Stein, to discuss the issues of solar storms, climate change, emergency disruptions and what to do about them. Mitchell and Matt will also discuss safe, green and sustainable building, bearing in mind the ever-changing landscape of our earth at this point in time and climate change.
Matt has been a guest numerous times on Coast-to-Coast and other national TV and Radio shows, and is for the second time on A Better World Radio with Mitchell Rabin.
Matthew is an environmentalist, bestselling author, MIT trained engineer, and green builder. As an inspiring speaker and visionary thinker, he is dedicated to helping people wake up and unite to shift our collective course from collapse to global renaissance. On the practical side of things,as an expert at self-reliance, emergency prep, and survival, his writings and work help people prepare to weather the storms we are facing due to continuing climate change and ecological decline, coupled with a fossil fuel based economy that has recently passed the peak in world oil production and is struggling to cope with impending near-term shortfalls.
Stein is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he majored in Mechanical Engineering.

Joining us tonight for a special show is Environmentalist, Activist, Author, and Politico, Deevon Quirolo a long time fighter for Florida's Environment and just, safe Environmental Policy.
This is a pre-recorded show so there will be no live call ins for tonight. If there are any questions, please go to the NEIGHBORS AGAINST MINING site linked below and contact Deevon through the that site.
Our topic tonight will focus on the Mining happening in Hernando County, Florida's Nature Coast.
Citizens have banned together to fight against a proposed new Cemex location that will affect Hernando County’s Eco-tourism efforts and overall environment to include: trees, wildlands, air and water quality and protected species. The site once operational will cause traffic tie-ups, citizen’s property values to go down, affect citizen’s health and even affect a landmark of historical significance, a Veteran’s Cemetery. Stats show that Hernando County currently has 22 mines, we do not need more. And Hernando County is the sickest county in Florida. Little or no jobs are provided to local citizens with the addition of another mine in this county. See more at NEIGHBORS AGAINST MINING.
