In a recent article in The Nation, Canadian author/activist Naomi Klein posed an important question/observation: "What does #BlackLivesMatter have to do with Climate Change?" (http://www.thenation.com/article/192801/what-does-blacklivesmatter-have-do-climate-change)
On the next episode of PR 13:20, we'll look deeper into Klein's inquiry, and discuss the similarities revealed when juxtaposing the issues of social and environmental justice, the affects of rampant police brutality and unchecked global warming, and the communities and nations most affected. We'll also look at where these movements intersect and appear to be headed, and what actions can be taken to ensure that systemic change does occur, and soon, because our lives do depend upon it.
In the first half of the show, Carolyn Finney returns to the program to talk about her book Black Faces, White Spaces. The second half features Matthew Collier of the Hockey Prospectus, giving an update of the NHL at the all star break.

Public poisons are a major aspect of the depopulation agenda purposely administered by the criminal cabal that runs the world. This is one of the most serious issues we face. These ubiquitous toxins undermine health and shorten life. Mind-numbing, cancer-causing fluoride has been in most public water supplies for 50 to 60 years. More than 2/3 of the U.S. population is on some type of drug. Chemtrails fill the skies multiple days a week. GMOs are very difficult to avoid, especially without labeling. There are hundreds more environmental toxins in our food, water, air and living spaces. We must get together and organize to stop all this and survive.
In the wake of President Obama’s January 2015 State of the Union Address, many ponder what 2015 will look like for their families, our nation, and the world. The President referenced the work of “remaking America.” “We have laid a new foundation,” he reported; and “a brighter future is ours to write."
Don't miss Debra's expert guests--Gary Kah, Carl Teichrib, Dr. Michael Coffman, Chuck Morse, Tom DeWeese, Dr. Martin Erdmann, and Dr. John Haller--as they clarify the roles of interfaithism, peace bait, transhumanism, along with eco- and social- justice, in the process of "remaking America" toward global transformation.
Then, decide for yourself if the President's vision for remaking America will indeed write "a brighter future" for our nation.
We're going back into the sky as Spaced Out Radio presents guest and popular UFOlogist David Sereda. But things changed for him in 1968.
Hanging out with a friend, David witnessed his first UFO and it changed his pattern of what he wanted to do in life. He became consumed with learning more about UFOs and the Roswell incident. He has worked deeply in high technology, on environmental and humanitarian issues and as a professional photographer for over 20 years. He has studied world religion, science, physics and paranormal psychology for over 25 years.

Through this he has become known as the main proponent of the idea that the Mayan calendar is about the evolution of consciousness rather than astronomical phenomena. His most recent book is “The Global Mind and the Rise of Civilization”. His website is http://calleman.com

My very special guest Sharon Gannon is a 21st-century Renaissance woman, an animal rights and vegan activist and a world-renowned yogini, perhaps best known as the founder, along with David Life, of the Jivamukti Yoga Method. She is also an accomplished writer, dancer, painter, musician and chef. Simple Recipes for Joy is Sharon's new vegan cookbook. This book is an offering of easy, fun and practical ways to create more happiness and joy in your life, in the lives of others and on the planet. A vegan (plant-based) diet is the best way to promote human health and compassion towards animals, and it is the most direct way to save the planet from environmental destruction.
Tune in for recipe ideas and how you can make smarter food choices.
The “featured” BlogTalkRadio program, “Westchester On the Level with Narog and Aris”, opens the Thursday, February 26th broadcast day at 10:00 a.m. with a half-hour summation of international news and at 10:30am Host Hezi Aris pivots to Mount Vernon City Councilman Richard Thomas.
At the top of the second hour, from 11am to 12Noon, we are joined by Blue Ridge Press Editor Glenn Scherer whose focus is environmental news despite its diminished coverage in major media, including TV, major newspapers, and even the Internet. We’ll explore past scientific integrity and the recent uncertainty that has caused a lack of trust in reporting. Editor Glenn Scherer’s demeanor and the milieu he has created will also be explored to gain insight to the challenges presented to a nation of curious to glean the facts yet are lost in not knowing to whom to turn. Exploring the aforementioned will lead us to the concerns of fracking, climate change, clean water, habitat preservation, and the political insinuation into the vast subject matter.
We’ll learn how language is used in inflaming emotions and juxtaposed that report facts with gravitas; and how to distill the differences.
We’ll explore the diminution of coverage of the environment and whether there is a market of people who want to learn more or if science delving into environmental concerns are no longer trusted? and if so, why?
Lastly, we learn the modality Blue Ridge Press incorporates to reach readers interested in environmental issues / concerns.
