This episode of Pneumatikos will explore the necessity of loving one's enemies. It is indeed an absurd notion, but alas it is not. It is a serious spiritual reality to love one's enemies. There are a host of legitimate reasons not to love one's enemies, and they are often valid and reasonable. After all, one's enemies are often odious, rude, full of candid tales, and deeds of ruinous actions toward us. Yet, we are to love our enemies because if we do not they will enslave us through hate, and we will be diseased in body and soul with putrid hostility and resentment. We must therefore love our enemies.
On today’s episode of Faith Time, we will go over what happens when blessing your enemies becomes difficult. I’ve personally examined a lot of individuals in the church and discovered a lot of bitterness and angry people. These people are sincere about loving the Lord but are finding it very difficult to bless and love their enemies.
On this broadcast, SONSHINE USA Bible teacher Warren Landis continues in the 6th chapter of Luke where Christ is delivering the Sermon on the Mount. Here's an outline for today's broadcast.
1. Love Your Enemies-----Do good to those who hate your guts. (Verses 27-36)
2. Don't Judge Others. Did you know that the Bible says we will be judged by the same standards
we use to judge others. ( Verses 37-42)
3. Do Be A Fruit Inspector. (Verses 43-45)
4. Construction Advice-----Build On Strong Foundation. (Verses 46-49)

Dr. Martin Luther King often said," Violence begets more violence" Thus his modem of operation was love. By his living and dying he proved that one man armed with truth and courage can move a whole nation. We have more dog eat dog world then loving self sacrificing servants that are motivated by social justice and who are determined to love at all cost. In a world than is now fulfilling the prophecy of our Lord that said in the last days," the love of many will wax cold" we must strive never to have it said of us!
Do you have problems with forgiving your enemies? Do you struggle with hate and bitterness? If you answered yes to both of these questions, you are not alone. There are a lot of angry, bitter Christians and it all comes from the root of unforgiveness. Let’s look at what the word of God says about the issue of forgiving your enemies.
It's one of the greatest and most challenging commands in the history of humanity: 'love your enemies'. Jesus coined this radical notion, and it has continued to powerfully impact the world, even until today. But what does it mean, what does it say about God, and how does it apply to us? Listen and find out!
