The first race of the series in Moab is May 3-4. The second race, formerly known as the Wasatch Enduro, is now known as The Enduro Cup at Canyons Resort and is July 19-20. The finale is August 17-18 at Snowbasin.

Adults may feel powerless to stop the fracking industry from expanding, but kids in Colorado are freely speaking their minds and working for change. Talkupy with Annie Lindstrom welcomes Emma, founder of Kids Against Fracking, and Xiuhtezcatl, an activist with Earth Guardians, to the show on Thursday, May 30 at 2 pm Eastern Time. Emma and Xiuhtezcatl have been fighting on the front lines to ban fracking and to stand up for the Earth, water, air and atmosphere. Both young activists have met with Colorado politicians to voice their concerns, organized protests for kids and making headlines in local and international news media. Jason Hardung's work has appeared in a bunch of journals and magazines including: 3AM, Monkey Bicycle, Chiron Review, Evergreen Review, New Wave Vomit, Thought Catalog, Word Riot, Thrasher Magazine and The New York Quarterly. He has two books of poetry out on Epic Rites Press and Lummox Press. He has been an editor for Wolverine Farm Publishing and the Front Range Review in Ft. Collins, Colorado where he lives in a commune with seven other people. In 2013 he was voted Ft. Collins Poet Laureate. He still has a bird whose feet fell off, but don't worry, it still sings.

After liberal-leaning Colorado Ethics Watch first filed its complaints in October about the matter with the ethics commission. I'll also talk about who setup the liberal Colorado Ethics Watch. In the second hour I'm going to talk about Monsanto and Geneticly Modified Organisms (GMO) and how liberal groups are targeting big AG companies. But sadly conservatives are falling for this trap.

Dr. William Davis is my guest this week and will highlight the AMTA Archives.
Dr. Davis is currently Director of the graduate program in music therapy at Colorado State University and Chair and Director of Graduate Studies in Music for the Department. He joined the CSU faculty in 1984 after completing a doctorate in music therapy with a performance minor in clarinet from the University of Kansas. His clinical background and area of clinical expertise is with adults and children who have intellectual disabilities. He has been active for many years in the American Music Therapy Association serving on the AMTA Board of Directors as historian; in 1998 he founded the AMTA Archives at CSU and continues in the capacity of Archivist. Dr. Davis has also served as an Editorial Committee member for the Journal of Music Therapy, an Assembly of Delegates representative, and as a member of the Government Relations Committee. He is co-author of an introductory level music therapy text in its third printing and is used by many music therapy programs in the United States and abroad. Previous editions of the book have been translated into Spanish, Korean and Japanese. His research interest is in the history of music therapy with numerous articles appearing in the Journal of Music Therapy, Music Therapy Perspectives and the British Journal of Music Therapy.
