Listen Mr. Brett A. Scudder's presentation on The State of Mental Health in alleviating Human Suffering and Emotional Distress Today.
About the Tour.
SISFI is hosting our Suicide Awareness and Prevention NY Tour on Sept. 17th - Oct 3rd across NYC, Long Island and Westchester to bring more awareness, services, programs and resources to address the increasing numbers of people facing serious life and emotional challenges, and human suffering with suicide ideations/thoughts, and supporting families who lost loved ones to suicide.
The theme of the tour is “Look into my heart and mind, tell me what you see”. It highlights the realities of not knowing what’s in a person’s mind or on their heart by what we see on the outside, and that we must engage in dialog and allow an open and comfortable atmosphere for people to open up and express themselves. The workshops and radio shows of the tour are scheduled at different times every day across the 3 cities.
We have aligned 15 community workshops, 3 luncheons and 15 radio shows to bring people, mental health professionals, energy therapists, health professionals, survivors and healers together to address this very serious and important topic affecting many people in our communities. While the community workshops are local in the 3 cities, the radio shows will have guests from across the country who lost loved ones, and practitioners who specializes in the support, treatment, recovery and healing of mental health, life coaching, emotional wellness and human suffering.

Today on "It's My House" we shall be discussing IF there is a mind and body connection when it comes to "stress" and "distress".
Can "stress" improve your body and can "distress" make you ill ?
Some people think there is no connection between your mind and body, however today we shall compare notes and see if there is a connection or if all this talk is just another conspiracy theory.
Feel free to take plenty of notes and call in with any of your quesitons or comments.

Most pet owners will tell you, hands down, that animals have and experience emotion. Many scientists still don’t accept it, however. We’ve been discussing this question here on Full Power Living, this week bringing you Child Psychology Professor Bill Crain (who is married to a pediatrician. He and his wife also operate a sanctuary for animals, which drew him to write about how animals shed light on the emotions of children, looking at six emotional behaviors that are shared by children and animals. Join us as we discuss the instinctive connection between the natural and human world. Click here to visit Safe Haven Farm Sanctuary website.

"Courage is fire, and bullying is smoke," stated former British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli. Adult bullying is a rising concern in the real world and online. Adults are as malicious as bad kids on the playground, but no one is supervising their activity or protecting their targets. And their victims are other adults who are not immune to the trauma of bullying. When one uses superior strength or influence to intimidate others, that’s classic bullying. Emotional abuse is characterized by subjecting another to behavior that may result in psychological trauma, like anxiety, chronic depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder. In one Seinfeld episode, George and Jerry recall their tyrannical gym teacher who used to give boys wedgies and encourage them to beat each other up. Girls don’t do anything like that, do they? Jerry asks Elaine. Oh no, Elaine replies. We just tease each other until one of us develops an eating disorder. The worst part of being bullied or abused in a relationship, is that often you don’t even realize it’s happening. Manipulative people twist your thoughts, actions, wants, and desires into something that better suits how they see the world. Bullies don’t want cooperation, they want control. Emotional bullying is often subtle and found in adult relationships and in the workplace. An emotional bully might use sarcasm, threaten, belittle, or humiliate. Join me and Life Coach Jenn A Nocera as we discuss the specific signs of bullying and emotional abuse. After the show check After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live for more info.
Today Caroline is joined by Liz Bull for our once-a-month bock clearing session. If you have a concern about an emotional issue that could be holding you back from manifesting your good – this program is for you! Call in and speak to Liz or Caroline in person – our board is usually very full for this popular program.
“I’ve been a Caroline Sutherland fan ever since the first moment I met her in the ’90s. In fact, she fulfilled a dream of mine. At our first meeting, Caroline looked at me, clearly saw my deficiencies and nutritional needs, and on the spot designed a special plan for my particular body. I felt understood for the first time.”
- Louise Hay, Author of You Can Heal Your Life
