In 2013, out of 2300 entries, she won ‘Honorable Mention for Best Song by an Oakland Solo Artist’ for Tell Me Why at Mayhem (formerly Oaktown Music Festival), proving that hard work and perseverance pay off. Her eclectic hodgepodge of musical stylings, coupled with her sultry voice, inspire and keep you moving. Showing no signs of slowing down, miss Devi Genuone is continually making moves, and perfecting her talent, so keep your eyes and ears open for much more from this talented songstress, conguera and all-around musician.

    FOCUS SEASON

    in Entertainment

It takes talent to make the struggle to succeed seem effortless.  That is the gift that separates artists like Bryan Bernard (aka FOCUS, which stands for: Fully.  Over.  Coming.  Unpredictable.  Situations), from the everyday emcee.  FOCUS has been branded as hip-hop’s new voice, saying what most people want to but are afraid to.  He realizes there are consequences to speaking his mind, but there are greater consequences in not doing so.

After polishing his sound FOCUS has released records such as the hard knocking “E Train Freestyle” and “Get Away.”  With concepts shedding light on everyday life, his songs put everyone on notice that FOCUS has come to do things his way.

His goal is for his music to make his audiences feel emotion, whether they laugh, cry, dance, think or love.  The most common goal of all entertainers is to take complex thoughts and feelings and morph them into something simple, such as a meaningful song.

FOCUS is ready to wake up a dormant industry and cement his name into the minds of fans everywhere, but more than that with the success of his soon to be released mixtape, FOCUS is betting that hip-hop is ready for music with substance once again.

    X-Phaze 17 Year-old Emcee/Rapper

    in Hip Hop Music

Mary welcomes X-Phase to the Diner. Welcome X-Phase!
X-Phaze is a 17 year-old emcee residing in Mendham, New Jersey. After winning Hot97's "Time 2 Shine" Contest, opening up for Rehab & Rittz, and performing at the 2012 Bamboozle Music Festival, the self-proclaimed "verbal assassin disguised as a 17 year old" is beginning to make a buzz.  "X" resembles the unexpected and the anomalous. It is the unknown, the winner of the losers bracket, and the outcast of the incrowd. It is the variable that seems as if it has no vitality. But when the true meaning is discovered, it is, in fact, extremely powerful, leaving a person oblivious of what to expect. "Phaze" signifies the phases encountered throughout life that fuse together with the inability to be fazed.
