(Today's Topic(s) On The CP Show)
It seems like in parts of Today's Society, there is still this Mysterious and Illusivve Part of Presenting History that is still rarely taught or disscussed or not even known to a percentage of people.
There are some people who know what the title is about...There are some who know, just a piece of whats its about...There are some who never have heard of "Juneteeth"
At the same time, there are a percentage of personnel who perhaps have not been presented with the other than just "Is was about this" and that's all. That does not tell the other parts of Juneteeth and the Reality of the "Emancipation Proclamation"

JuneTeenth is about the lives of people from the mother land, Africa who became Americans, not by immigration by by trade and thievery. Africa, the documented earliest home to all mankind. Africa, the land of over 800 languages and 5 major types of people. Negroids, Pygmpoids, Bushmanoids, Caucasoids and Mongoloids. It was in Africa where the salve trade was established. It was on the coast of West Africa in the mid 1400's by the Portuguese. It is said the first Africans were captivies in their home lands and were traded for goods to people who came in ships from other countries. The trade of Africans for goods would become the thievery of Africans and this would go on 1400's to mid 1800's and would become known as the slave trade. Africans were taken into other countries and used as slaves. It is estimated that at it's peak africans were being stolen from West Africa at an average of 100,000 to 130,000 a year. Most of these Africans were brought to America. Before I explain the timeline of Juneteenth, please take time and listen to my 2013 JuneTeenth show. And I'll talk to you on this show about the slave revolt in America which was the beginning of freedom of the once African slaves. Rebellion to Revolution
On this day June 19, 1865, emancipation was finally granted to the remaining slaves in the rebellious state of Texas. Two and a half years after Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves in the confederate states, the hold out White plantation owners grudgingly and reluctantly gave in to the pressures of the US government, but held onto the racial hatred embedded in their hearts.
Fast forward to 2006, a short eight years ago, when Black financial tycoon, Mellody Hobson, was mistaken for kitchen help while in New York City on a campaign fundraising trip for Harold Ford. The manager who made that awful blunder needed to clean out the cobwebs and realize that Black people have significantly advanced since the rough-shod days of our Civil War past.
Mellody recently created a TED Talk about her experience, urging her audience to move from being color blind to becoming color brave. We’ll talk about this lingering issue with veteran consultant and former Chair of the National Black MBA Association Bill Wells, Jr.
It’s an American issue that simply won’t go away.

Vicente Guerrero, Mexico’s first black president
Texas President Sam Houston lamented that " two valuable negro boys for which I had paid in cash $2100 previous to my visit to Nashville, ran away last spring to Mexico. Thus you can see I am in bad luck." Just two and a half months after Mexico abolished slavery, officials were uneasy about the numbers of new Americans settling within Mexico and they attempted to curb the number of newcomers.
In 1830, Mexico decreed that foreigners could not cross the border without obtaining a passport issued by Mexican agents.Texans did not respect the MEXICAN border in their pursuits of Freed Blacks. In 1855, Captain James Callahan of the Texas Rangers entered Mexico in an attempt to recapture self-emancipated Africans.
Callahan insisted that the purpose of his excursion was to pursue Indians rather than recapture fugitive slaves. The Mexican government with the help of Native Americans, however, forced him to retreat and withdraw without any Freed Blacks.
Consequently, Mexico remained a place of amnesty. Thousands of self emancipated Africans lived in Mexico by 1850.
Just two and a half months after Mexico abolished Finding the Mexican government uncooperative, Texas slaveowners took measures to stop escapes as well as to reclaim runaways.
In 1850, they pressured the federal government to set up border patrols but with few troops assigned to patrol this vast frontier, this was not very successful. Slaveowners also offered rewards of $200-$600 for the recapturing of fugitives.
Frederick Douglass -
"For my part, I would not care if, tomorrow, I should hear of the death of every man who engaged in that bloody war in Mexico, and that every man had met the fate he went there to perpetrate upon unoffending Mexicans...There are three millions of slaves in this land, I should welcome the intelligence tomorrow, should it come!
