This week we take a look at the injury riddled Week 2 and update you on the status of the injuries to a lot of key players. We take a look at the waiver wires as well. Also we will preview all the week 3 games as well including the Thursday night matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Welcome to a third season of the Baltimore Ravens Pregame Show, presented by Fanspeak.com and sponsored by Fanduel.com. The show is hosted by Fanspeak.com & BirdsofBaltimore.com, writer and editor, Alan Zlotorzynski.
Alan grew up in Baltimore was a Ravens season ticket holder and is a credentialed member of the media here in Florida, where he resides now.
Joining Alan to help him break down today’s matchup will be former Miami Hurricane, Baltimore Raven & San Francisco 49er, linebacker, Tavares Gooden. Also Joining Alan will be former Ravens offensive assistant, Drew Burnham, to help Alan break down the Ravens offense.
Today, the Ravens kick off the 2014 NFL campaign when they host the defending AFC North Champion Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium. The Ravens, who last season missed the playoffs for the first time under head coach John Harbaugh, finished 8-8 in 2013, while Cincy posted an 11-5 mark before falling to San Diego in the Wild Card round.
Alan, Tavares, and Drew will present the keys to a Ravens victory. They will explain how new OC Gary Kubiak’s offense differs from what the Ravens were running under Jim Caldwell and Cam Cameron and tell you if the Ravens can stop the potent Cincy offense. You will hear from both head coaches, quarterbacks, as well as the players that are likely to impact today’s game.

The big news of the day is that after the release of the second video from TMZ, showing Ravens RB Ray Rice striking his then fiancé twice and knocking her unconscious, the Ravens terminated the contract of their former Pro Bowl running back this afternoon.
Alan & Tavares will talk about the impact this has on Rice, the team, the community and the NFL.
Tonight’s special guest is former Ravens defensive back Bennie Thompson. Bennie spent 14 years playing professional football, 11 of them in the NFL. The former Grambling star was voted to the Pro-Bowl twice in his career. Bennie will tell us what it was like playing for college coaching legend Eddie Robinson and then mentoring future Hall of Fame Ravens linebacker, Ray Lewis.
The guys then breakdown the team’s 23-16 loss to the Bengals yesterday. Alan will have all of the stats that matter and you will also hear from John Harbaugh, Joe Flacco, and other members of the Ravens following the loss.
Alan & Tavares then try to get you ready for an abbreviated version of Steelers week. Showtime is 9:00 and will run until 11:00.

Plain and simple: Baltimore and Pittsburgh – it’s one of the NFL’s best rivalries. Playing for the second time in five days, the Ravens (0-1) host the Steelers (1-0) in a primetime Thursday Night Football special at M&T Bank Stadium.
Alan will have all of the stats that matter for this critical AFC North showdown. Tavares will dip into his experience as a Raven in a new Pregame segment called---T-Goods Defensive Keys. Alan’s new cohost will also have opinions on everything from the Ray Rice situation to what it is like being involved in this rivalry.
Former Ravens QB Anthony Wright will join the show to discuss what it’s like playing against a Dick LeBeau defense and how what his keys are to beating it tonight.
Last Sunday in their season opener, the Ravens fell, 23-16, to the visiting Cincinnati Bengals. After fighting back to earn a 16-15 advantage with 5:46 left in the game, the Ravens were stunned when QB Andy Dalton hit WR A.J. Green with a 77-yard TD throw, providing Cincy the decisive score. Green’s TD came just 48 seconds after the Ravens took a fourth-quarter advantage when QB Joe Flacco connected on an 80-yard TD throw to WR Steve Smith, Sr.
The Steelers, meanwhile, outlasted the Cleveland Browns, 30-27, in last week’s opener after K Shaun Suisham hit a game-winning, 41-yard FG as time expired.
The guys will also discuss the updated information on the Ray Rice situation, which has become the biggest news story in the nation. You won’t want to miss any of the uncensored pregame show, which takes you right up to kickoff at 8:25.

Today, the guys will welcome in Ravens Hall of Faner, Captain Defense a.k.a. Wes Henson. Captain D will spend a few minutes this morning discussing his new Ravens fan anthem, “It’s Game Day Hon”. We will also get the Captains thoughts on the season so far and where he stands on all of the turmoil surrounding the Ravens at the moment.
Then it’s onto the Baltimore Ravens, who hit the road for the first time this season when they play the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium today at 1 p.m. Baltimore and Cleveland both carry 1-1 marks into the contest, with each team notching its first respective win of the season in Week 2.
Playing their second game in an emotional five-day span, the Ravens stopped the visiting Steelers, 26-6, last Thursday night (Sept. 11) in what head Coach John Harbaugh called “a complete team victory”.
In their 2014 home opener last Sunday, the Browns emerged victorious, 26-24, over the New Orleans Saints, securing the first win for new head coach Mike Pettine. (Pettine is a former Ravens assistant who coached in Baltimore from 2002-08.)
Alan will have all of the stats that matter and the pressers from both teams throughout the week. Tavares, who spent five seasons and NFL linebacker, three with the Ravens, will break down what each defense will need to do to stop the other offense. Drew Burnham, who spent last season on the offensive staff of the Ravens returns to help breakdown the Ravens offensive game plan.

Alan and Tavares will recap the Ravens huge 26-6 victory over the Steelers with all of the stats that matter and even the ones that don’t. You will also hear from all of the important players, as well as the in game audio.
The guys will then get you ready for the Cleveland Browns, who are coming off a big win of their own, as they defeated the Saints on Sunday with a last minute field goal. Alan & Tavares will also recap the rest of the day in the NFL.

In 2009, Mr. LaRoe opened First Green Bank, the first bank with an environmental mission in the eastern United States. He is the largest shareholder, CEO and Chairman. In 1999, Mr. LaRoe founded Florida Choice Bank and was its largest shareholder, Chairman, CEO, and President. He grew the bank to over $400 million in assets by 2006 when the bank was sold to Alabama National Bancorp.
Mr. LaRoe began his career with Flagship Bank in Tavares, Florida and rose to the position of vice president and branch manager. He joined SouthTrust Bank in Deland, Florida in 1987 as senior lender and rose to county executive for Lake County. In 1996 Mr. LaRoe joined Colonial Bank as president of the Lake County bank and was instrumental in the conversion of a troubled thrift to a viable commercial bank. He has served on numerous civic and non-profit boards including: The Sunrise ARC (Association for Retarded Citizens), BankServe, and The Florida Bankers Association.He served as chairman of Group 5 of the Florida Bankers Association and also as chairman of Florida BankPac. He is a member of the Florida Bar Association, and the Lake County Bar Association.
A committed environmentalist, he served as chairman of Preserve Lake, a political action committee instrumental in passing a bond referendum for $36 million to purchase public land. He also served as chairman of the PLAAC (Public Lands Acquisition advisory Committee).
Born, raised, and schooled in Eustis, Florida, where First Green Bank is located, Mr. LaRoe earned a B. S. in management at Florida State University and a J.D. at The University of Florida College of Law. Mr. LaRoe is also a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP).
