4 20 Verses Medical Marijuana on the ghetto truth in Stereo

    in Health

When men make unjust laws about a natural plant which cures, correct pain and relaxes the human body more than any Pharma drug could, I say, “Spark It!”, and for some Cancer patients who are grateful to get their THC’s in bakery goods, teas, candy, or etc., enjoy it. Anyone who has ever been in pain could advocate this, because if you could imagine someone being in pain 24-7, this natural plant, is the savior. The lawmakers become politically pompous when they have their fingertips in the industry of Medical Marijuana and at the same time, you’re in jail if you’re not purchasing cannabis from the .GOV.

There are about 23 states Medical Marijuana could be found and no surprise here, there are no Bible Belt states included in the 23.  4 20 is coming and for a lot of people, every day is 4 20 and on your next hit, say a prayer for the lawmakers and affirm they take a puff and ease up.  On the ‘ghetto truth’ in stereo, we’re going to talk about some pros and myths in the use of Hemp and Cannabis. This segment is open discussion and a Non users opinion of 4 20 and Medical Marijuana are welcome  of course, so tune into the ghetto truth in stereo and see what shows up out of the dark.

Local Bakery Grabs Some National Attention from Shoppers with a Sweet Tooth

    in Entrepreneur

After 25 years in the radio/tv news business, Bob Benish decided to launch his next role, a part he was born to play, as the owner and bakery chef of Benish's Bakery.  What started as a specialty bakery in 2007 selling biscotti to specialty shops has turned into an expanded line of baked goods with a national following.  Shoppers who stop for coffee at Nordstroms across the country can now nibble on some of the bakery's goodies.

Bob's love of baking goes back to his childhood and his business launched to satisfy a personal need...he wanted a biscotti aimed squarely at the grownup palate, a biscotti you can, "dunk with confidence and nibble with delight!"

    The Discrimination We Don't Discuss

    in Politics Conservative

In the wake of the Indiana RFRA flap and the Memories Pizza situation that followed, I wanted to revisit some stories this week that again focus on a class of people who are truly being discriminated against for who they are in this country.  Those people are the Christians in this country who stand on their principles of faith.  Today I wanted to talk about what's going on with a Christian college and a Massachusetts school district.  I also wanted to discuss a bakery with a different slant on it in Colorado.  And there's a couple of articles again concerning the fallout of the the Indiana RFRA battle that I'll share as well.

That's at 4:30 Eastern time and archived after that.

How to Increase the Visibility of Your Restaurant or Online Food Business

    in Marketing

Host @Ms_Terree & The Frugal Foodie Show is switching gears for today's blogcast, and dedicating it to the small business owner in the Food Industry. Today is about Social Media and "How to Increase the Visibility of Your Restaurant or Online Food Business."

In today’s market, family restaurants and home-based food businesses are competing online against big chains and corporations with big budgets. Since my life beyond the food industry is in social media networking and influencer promotions, I’ve invited my accomplished friend in social media, to share some tips and advice to help smaller food businesses increase their visibility online.

Steven Krohn is a challenge-loving, social media and networking strategist, who has developed a vast network for implementing social media that increases traffic and delivers the results desired by his clients. Steven developed his skillsets working in the Healthcare sector by focusing on, and increasing sales - - both online and offline. In the past 2 years, he has quickly expanded his ICONA MARKETING agency, to work with small-to-large businesses. Steven’s work has grabbed the attention of top industry leaders, leading him to being named a top influencer on LinkedIn, and other popular social media platforms. Steven and his company leverage relationships to create win-win situations for his clients and their customers. Not content to rest, Steven is always innovating and learning new ways to get the attention of his client's potential customers. As Steven says, "I am as real as they come, and it shows in the postings I create for my clients. Social media is just that - - Be social, and they will come."

    Oklahoma State Senator Joseph Silk

    in Politics Conservative

Oklahoma State Senator Joseph Silk has introduced a bill that would allow religious entities or businesses “operating consistently with sincerely held religious beliefs” to operate in accordance with those beliefs without facing legal consequences for doing so. In other words, if you are a wedding photographer or a bakery and you do not wish to provide your services for a same-sex wedding, based on religious objections, then there would be no legal consequences for refusing that business. Senator Silk has been facing a firestorm from LGBT activist since he gave an interview to the New York Times about the bill. The harsh push back has come as a result of the Times story taking a partial quote where he said that LGBT people “don’t have a right to be served in every single store,” He has responded to the Times quotes by posting a statement saying “Yes I did say that homosexuals do not have the right to be served in every store, just as I do not believe that I, my family, or anyone else have the right to be served in every private business. The right to provide services should be the decision of the business owners. We need to keep our country free and stop this radical, intolerant, movement.” We'll talk about the bill and the controversy.

Later we'll talk about some of the big stories from the past week. Don't forget about "Outrage of the Week" and "Headlines You May Have Missed".
