Mystical Entanglement Guest Jodi Parks
This Tuesday night at 10pm ET on Mystical Entanglement, join us for our very special guest Jodie Parks! Born and raised in St. Louis, MO Jodie has always been a unique person. Jodie loved to watch horror movies at a young age and always asked family to tell her scary stories. Little did she know one day she would be chasing these stories and the unseen force behind them. In 1998 Jodie bought a house that is haunted. Her three year old son Nathan started seeing spirits in house. By the time Nathan was eleven the activity became too much so mother and son went out in search of answers. Jodie bought Nathan the basic ghost hunting equipment and reached out to Janet at Mineral Springs Haunted Tours in Alton, IL for help. Nathan had his first experience within thirty minutes of being at Mineral Springs. Nathan heard the little girl Cassandra speaking to him. This was proof to Nathan that he has a gift. Through Janet they met Matt and Brian from Riverbend Paranormal, Scott Schweiger from Bi State Paranormal and Joseph Palermo. Jodie and Nathan filmed an episode of My Ghost Story on Bio channel for Mineral Spring in Alton, IL. Over time Jodie had many girlfriends wanting to hunt ghost with her so she started a new group called the Paranormal Hot Squad. Paranormal Hot Squad was featured on Paranormal Challenge with Zak Bagans on the Travel Channel and has filmed several homemade movies of their girl’s weekends. In 2008 Nathan saw a show featuring Paul Hunn the loudest burper in the world. Nathan asked Jodie to apply to break a record with Guinness World Records. She did for him and flew to Madrid to become the first female loudest burp and became the Queen of Burps. The Queen has been on many radio, news and TV shows all over the globe. — with Jodie Parks.

Fracking in America's National Parks
Nancy Reid & Lisa Smith welcome Jim Nations, the National Parks Conservation Association's VP for the Center for Park Research, on Big Blend Radio's NATURE CONNECTION show to discuss the new report 'National Parks and Hydraulic Fracturing: Balancing Energy Needs, Nature, and America’s National Heritage' that was just released by the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA).This new report examines the impact of existing, proposed, and potential oil and gas development on America’s national parks and offers recommendations to ensure future drilling safeguards public health and the environment. The report’s five case studies analyze national parks that are already in the path of the fracking boom, including: (1) Theodore Roosevelt National Park, (2) Glacier National Park, (3) Grand Teton National Park, (4) Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River and Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, and (5) Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area and Obed Wild and Scenic River. Traveling with Purpose in National Parks
What better way to celebrate Earth Day and National Parks Week than to talk with ARAMARK Parks and Destinations. There’s no better way to welcome warmer weather than with travel to the great outdoors. America offers vast wilderness for people to explore from the grandest of National Parks, to undisturbed forestland. If this isn’t inspiration enough to lace up your hiking boots, April is also Keep America Beautiful Month, and home to National Parks Week (April 20-26) and Earth Day (April 22). Perfect excuses to leave civilization, head out into wild and explore our great resources while leaving only foot (or hoof) prints behind.
Today we're talking with Allison Gosselin, Director of Environmental Sustainability at ARAMARK, & Lauren Pearce, Public Relations for ARAMARK.
ARAMARK Parks and Destinations delivers authentic, memorable experiences at national and state parks, specialty hotels, museums and other visitor destinations across the United States.

Rosa Parks Episode
After yesterday's intense scrutiny of Mental Health Violence and Quality Control, we go to the flip side of the issue, with a civil rights poem and a creative description of the void too deep for psychology. I wish to emphasize however, we are looking at the exact same problem (Quality Control), just through a different filter.
A Fuss on a Bus "A Fuss on a Bus" is (currently) Chapter 23 in my book "Enough! Losing the Scarlet Letter. The end of self-imposed adult abuse."
It starts out like this:
Hey Rosa . . . The eyes of the world were upon you Way way back . . . back in nineteen and sixty two All the world wondered A nation had blundered . . . Summer stopped to stand stark still in sweltering stasis . . . Men, and even senators stood supine The foolish beguiled the wise . . . A woman took a mighty nation to its moral knees . . .
I think everyone will enjoy this poem about Rosa Parks.
4 A.M. Someplace "4 A.M. Someplace" is (currently) Chapter 8 in my book "Enough! Losing the Scarlet Letter. The end of self-imposed adult abuse."
It's the artsy touchie feelie side of the same quality control argument i tried to make yesterday in much more logical terms. It starts out like this:
The Wal-Mart fan rattles on the scratched gritty wooden floor and blows the smells of new and ancient sweat off thin unwashed sheets affixed to the rough fibered blue surface of the sleeper couch below; and troubled minds are spinning in circles balancing shaky human alliances and application of scarce resources to problems, like an overmatched general pitting starving troops on a wet frozen battlefield against a superior well fed mechanized opponent.
