On today's broadcast, I discuss what Amalek and Egypt each represent. Egypt represents the place where the Jews were enslaved. The Torah commands Bnai Yisrael not to return to Egypt. I discuss the implications of this mitzvah, as well as the mitzvah to remember Amalek and to destroy its memory. Tune in and listen.
The plagues of Egypt are type and shadow of all that is to come during the tribulation. Only the reality of the plagues to come are beyond comprehension, even to the Angels. The prelude to the plagues of Egypt begins with an Angel out to kill Moses 1st born. Exodus 4:21-27

One of the most beautiful passages in the Bible is in this chapter. It has been used in probably millions and millions of weddings:
Ruth 1:16-17New King James Version (NKJV)
16 But Ruth said:
“Entreat me not to leave you,
Or to turn back from following after you;
For wherever you go, I will go;
And wherever you lodge, I will lodge;
Your people shall be my people,
And your God, my God.
17 Where you die, I will die,
And there will I be buried.
The Lord do so to me, and more also,
If anything but death parts you and me.”
Ruth 2:10-12New King James Version (NKJV)
10 So she fell on her face, bowed down to the ground, and said to him, “Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?”
11 And Boaz answered and said to her, “It has been fully reported to me, all that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before. 12 The Lord repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.”
Ruth's mother-in-law has an idea for Ruth to snag a wonderful husband. It involved sneaking to the man's bed at night! It sounds shocking and could definitely appear scandalous but is actually innocent. A beautiful romantic love scene unfolds. It's not hard to fill in the details of this relationship between Ruth and Boaz. My guess is that she already recognized that Boaz was very attracted to her. After all, she had already been married and understood the man-woman relationship. So, while she may have been nervous about what her mother-in-law told her to do, I'm thinking she knew in her heart that Boaz would be very happy to find her there at the foot of his bed.
However you might imagine the details of this love story, the truth I'd like to share for today is that Jesus loves us as Boaz loved Ruth. Jesus doesn't force his lordship into our lives. God woos us, and He loves adopting us into the family. Ultimately, by the way, we are the bride of Christ, just as Ruth became the bride of Boaz.
There are certain things that come to mind when we think of of the life of Christ, but in the new testament the apostle paul instructs to be or to become more like Christ. But what does that actually mean? Join Bishop-Elect Lawrence F. Wright on Greater is in YOU radio to find out exactly how we are to achieve such a great thing. #GodStrong

You don't have to "please" anybody...or "thank you" them for that matter. You just have to be your darling, lovely self. You don't have to explain anything to anybody either, for that is just an outgrowth of trying to please people. Why do so many of us have a hard time just being great? IF WE SAY WE ARE NOT GOING TO BE NOT LIKE THE NORM , THEN WHAT , WHAT KINGS .
In the book of Ruth, we meet Naomi, who felt that God had forgotten her. She was a widow, and both of her sons had died before giving her grandchildren. But although it seemed God had dealt harshly with Naomi, He wasn't finished with her yet. Ruth ends up sticking with her to the end, and she marries Boaz. They have a son. In The Message Bible, it says,
"The neighborhood women started calling him, "Naomi's baby boy!" His actual name was Obed, and he is in the lineage of Jesus.
